August was a great month full of building relationships with new staff members, meeting new students, and welcoming back our former students It is fantastic to have our halls and classrooms filled with children We also look forward to welcoming visitors back to campus on September 1, 2022. Visitors will be required to provide an ID that will be scanned using Raptor. This is just one of the many safety protocols the district has added to ensure the safety of all our students This year we will continue “Saved By The Bell.” This incentive program encourages students to be on time every day. At 7:50 am, on random days of the week, Mrs. Montgomery draws a number out of a hat The students with that number who are in their seats ready to learn will come to the office for a prize Being on time is an essential lifelong skill, and we believe every minute counts toward student success Attendance is also equally important and a huge focus for our campus Every Six Weeks, there will be an incentive for perfect attendance for the grading period. This 1st Six Weeks, each student with perfect attendance will be entered into a drawing for a free ticket to the Everman High School home game on October 7, 2022. Twenty-five tickets will be awarded, and each student will receive a jersey from wearing to the game The incentive began on August 22nd and will end on September 23rd Winners will be announced on September 30th 2022-2023 is going to be a magical year at Bishop Elementary. We look forward to watching our students grow socially and academically over the next few months. Developing the whole child is very important, and we pledge to implement programs and activities to support this endeavor.

Attendance
One of the most important things your child can do to reach the goal of success is also one of the most basic: attend school every day and be on time! The first bell rings at 7:45am By attending school regularly, your child is more likely to keep up with daily lessons, assignments, and take quizzes and tests on time Research has shown that your child’s regular attendance may be the greatest factor influencing his/her academic success Hispanic

Parents, we need your support in making sure your students are optimizing their learning in the classroom Please encourage them to make learning the main thing The goal is for all students to clearly understand their post secondary pathway by the end of their 8th grade year. This means they must be safe, respectful, and responsible. As we embark on this journey of new beginnings, we provide students meeting expectations with opportunities to participate in social events. We are hosting a homecoming dance this month, in addition to a pep rally and a fun filled week of homecoming events. Students placed in ISS, DAEP, or suspended will not be allowed to participate in pep rallies or after school events
Our students successfully transitioned back to school. They have been excellently arriving on time, being safe, respectful, and responsible, and following the EISD dress code Parents, please encourage your students to keep up the hard work!
