Die Gastwirte der Almhütten, Berggasthäuser und Schutzhütten beurteilten zunächst in einem Selbsttest, ob sie rund 80 Prozent der 61 Qualitätsmerkmale erfüllen. War dies der Fall, überprüfte der unabhängige Tester Andreas Vale die einzelnen Gastbetriebe am Berg. Die Auszeichnung „TOP-Hütte“ erhielten also nur jene Betriebe, die tatsächlich top sind!

TOP stands for Tested – Outstanding – Place: meaning a truly exceptional place, the quality of which has evaluated against a range of objective criteria.

Experts in the field of tourism, including committed and successful mountain hut hosts, managers and the chief editor of the most important german outdoor magazine (Alpin), have determined the evaluation criteria.

The local innkeepers of the huts, mountain inns and shelters then assessed themselves with an initial self-test to see if they could meet around 80 percent of the 61 quality criteria. If this was the case, Andreas Vale, an independent tester, then personally examined each of these mountain facilities.

Only those businesses that are really top-quality actually receive the “TOP mountain hut” award!

ZUR EUROPAHÜTTE IN PFITSCH Al Rifugio Europa in Val di Vizze To the Europahütte alpine hut in Pfitsch Als Zugang empfehlenswert ist der Landshuter Höhenweg, auch Tiroler Höhenweg.

Ausgehend vom Parkplatz an der Jochstraße führt der Fußweg Mark. 3 zum Pfitscher Joch Haus (2.275 m, Beschilderung) und bei den Jochseen westwärts als alpiner Höhenweg am Südabhang der Tuxer Berge auf längerer Strecke zur Europahütte.

Consigliabile l’accesso per l’alta via Landshuter Höhenweg. Partendo dal parcheggio al quarto tornante della strada al passo si segue il sentiero segnavia n. 3 che porta al Rifugio Passo di Vizze (m 2.275, segnaletica). Qui, presso i laghetti, si prende l’alta via in direzione ovest. Una lunga traversata in ambiente alpino ci porta al Rifugio Europa.

VON PFUNDERS ZUR EDELRAUTHÜTTE Da Fundres al Rifugio Ponte di Ghiaccio From Pfunders/Fundres to the Edelrauthütte alpine hut Die Edelrauthütte ist vom kleinen Parkplatz in Pfunders/Dun auf dem Weg Mark. 13 über die bewirtschaftete Eisbruggalm und den Eisbruggsee zu erreichen.

Das neue architektonisch interessante Schutzhaus ist Ausgangspunkt für Hochtouren zu den namhaftesten Gipfeln im Zillertaler Hauptkamm.

L’accesso al Rifugio Ponte di Ghiaccio dalla Val di Fundres inizia al piccolo parcheggio di Dun, oltre la gola. Seguendo l’itinerario segnavia n. 13 si passa dalla malga Eisbruggalm (punto di ristoro) e dal Lago Ponte di Ghiaccio per raggiungere il rifugio (nuovo fabbricato), situato all’omonimo passo.

VON SCHMUDERS ZUR HÜHNERSPIELHÜTTE Da Smudres al Rifugio Cima Gallina From Schmuders/Smudres to the Hühnerspielhütte refuge Die Hühnerspielhütte liegt im Waldgebiet östlich oberhalb von Gossensass.

Nach der Auffahrt über Schmuders zum Parkplatz an der vierten Kehre (1.506 m) folgt man der Forststraße zur Prantneralm, zur Riedbergalm und weiter bis zur Hühnerspielhütte.

Il Rifugio Gallina si trova nella grande zona boschiva a monte di Colle Isarco.

Accesso con mezzo proprio via Smudres fino al parcheggio presso il quarto tornante (m 1.506). Si prosegue sulla strada forestale, passando dalla baita Prantneralm e dalla malga Riedbergalm si raggiunge il rifugio.

The Hühnerspielhütte mountain hut lies to the east in a forested area above Colle Isarco/Gossensass. From the parking lot at the fourth bend (1,506 m a.s.l.) of the street above Schmuders follow the forest road to Prantneralm, to Riedbergalm and further on to Hühnerspielhütte mountain huts.

Am Rosskopf-Nordhang führt ein Wanderweg westwärts weiter zur Jörgnerkaser im Hüttendörfchen Wallmigalmen.

Dalla stazione della Cabinovia Monte Cavallo si sale al vicino Rifugio Vipiteno, qui si segue il tracciato segnavia n. 19A in direzione nord fino al biotopo Kastellacke (m 1.930). Proseguendo sul sentiero verso ovest si attraversa il pendio nord della cima Monte Cavallo per raggiungere la baita Jörgnerkaser.

From the Rosskopf cable car mountain station, the trail leads uphill to the north to Sterzingerhaus mountain hut, and from there it follows the trail no. 19A northward to Kastellacke (Biotop, 1,930 m a.s.l.). At the Rosskopf northern slope, a hiking trail leads westwards to Jörgnerkaser mountaun hut in the Wallmigalmen village.

Der nahezu eben verlaufende Zufahrtsweg zweigt von der Passstraße rechts ab, Parkplatz (1.822 m) und führt im Hochwald südwestwärts zur Hütte.

La malga Kalcheralm situata nella zona sciistica Racines-Giovo è accessibile anche con mezzo proprio. La strada di servizio devia a destra dalla strada del Giovo, parcheggio (m 1.822) e porta alla malga in direzione sudovest al limite superiore del bosco con minimo dislivello.

The Kalcheralmhütte mountain hut lies in the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area, close to the Jaufenpass pass road, and is also accessible by private vehicle. The almost flat access road branches off from the parking lot onto the pass road on the right (1,822 m a.s.l.) and leads in a southwestern direction through the high forest to the hut.

Empfehlenswert ist der Abstieg zur Talstation (1.428 m, Beschilderung).

Man folgt dem Weg Mark. 12 über die Pichlerhütte nach Enderecken, dort führt die Höfestraße zum Parkplatz.

La baita Nesselhütte presso la stazione a monte della Cabinovia Gitschberg si offre come punto di partenza per escursioni, specialmente per la cima Gitsch (con quadro panoramico), consigliabile il ritorno a piedi. Si scende sul versante ovest per l’Almhüttenrundweg (cartelli) poi lungo il segnavia n. 12 che passa dal Rifugio Pichlerhütte, si scende per il bosco, poi per i campi fino al parcheggio.

The Nesselhütte mountain hut lies directly at the Gitschberg cable car mountain station, and is the starting point for numerous mountain hikes, particularly to the Gitsch summit with its panoramic viewing platform. Especially recommended is the ascent to the cable car valley station (1,428 m a.s.l., signposted). ABSTIEG VON DER BERGSTATION JOCHTAL ZUR TALSTATION Dalla stazione a monte alla stazione a valle From the mountain to the valley station Das Bergrestaurant Jochtal liegt direkt an der Bergstation der Jochtal-Kabinenbahn und ist Ausgangspunkt von Wanderungen und Bergtouren. Empfehlenswert ist der Abstieg über das Valler Jöchl Mark. 9, und die Nockalm (bewirtschaftet, Mark. 10) zur Talstation (1.371 m), im unteren Bereich Forstweg.

Il ristorante alpino Jochtal, punto di partenza per escursioni, si trova presso la stazione a monte della Cabinovia Jochtal di Valles. Si consiglia la discesa a piedi.

Il sentiero segnavia n. 9 porta al Passo di Valles, qui si scende in direzione est, segnavia n. 10. Passando dalla malga Nockalm (punto di ristoro) si torna alla stazione a valle (m 1.371).

Jochtal mountain restaurant lies directly at the Jochtal cableway mountain station, and is the starting point for many hiking and mountain tours.

The descent via Valler Jöchl trail no. 9 and Nockalm mountain hut (managed, trail no. 10) leading down to the valley station (1,371 m a.s.l.) is highly recommended, forest trail in the lower regions.

Ab Parkplatz Bild Wetterkreuz am oberen Feldrand von Spinges führt die Almstraße, immer Mark. 9, in nordwestlicher Richtung im großen Waldbereich mäßig ansteigend zur Hütte.

Il Rifugio Anratter si trova nella zona sciistica Jochtal a monte di Valles.

Per l’accesso si parte dal parcheggio “Bild Wetterkreuz” a monte di Spinga seguendo la strada forestale segnavia n. 9. In lunga passeggiata per i boschi si raggiunge il rifugio situato nei prati alpestri.

The Anratterhütte mountain hut lies at the tree line at the Jochtal ski area above Valles/Vals. From the Bild Wetterkreuz parking lot at the upper edge of the Spinges fields, the path continues, still as route no. 9, in a northwestern direction through a large forested area and then mildly ascending up to the hut.

Der Zugang verläuft anfangs auf der Almstraße, dann rechts abzweigend, auf dem Zufahrtsweg zur Hütte.

Il Rifugio Oberhauser si trova al limite ovest dell’Alpe di Luson, in prossimità del parcheggio Zumis (servizio di linea da Rodengo e Luson). Dal parcheggio si segue la strada alpestre, dopo breve tratto si devia a destra sulla strada di accesso al rifugio.

The Oberhauserhütte mountain hut lies at the timber line at the western end of the Lüsner Almen mountain pastures, not far from the Zumis parking lot (bus connection from Rodengo/Rodeneck and Luson/Lüsen). At first, the access road runs along a mountain road, then branches right onto the access road to the hut.

Partendo dal parcheggio Zumis (servizio bus da Rodengo e Luson) si segue il segnavia n. 4 in direzione nordest, dopo breve tratto sulla strada si devia a sinistra per seguire la comoda mulattiera che porta alla conca del Rifugio Roner.

The Ronerhütte mountain hut lies to the northeast from the Zumis parking lot (bus route Rodengo/Rodeneck and Luson/Lüsen), and can be reached via a good and moderately steep footpath leading through a beautiful Swiss pine high forest, and then across flat meadows and mountain pastures.

Dall’ultimo parcheggio a monte di Luson/Valletta si segue la mulattiera segnavia n. 2, poi la strada alpestre, per deviare a sinistra sul sentiero segnavia n. 2A che porta in direzione nord. Aggirando un canalone a limite superiore del bosco si raggiunge il Rifugio Prato Croce sul pendio di fronte.

Accesso stradale da Chiusa via Lazfons al parcheggio Kühhof. Inizialmente si segua la strada al Rifugio Chiusa per deviare a destra su strada alpestre segnavia n. 14 in salita verso nord. Dopo una baita si prosegue per sentieri, passata la malga Brugger-Schupfe si raggiunge la via in quota segnavia n. 8/10 che porta al rifugio.

After the Latzfons access road to the parking lot Kühhof, the route initially follows the road to the Klausner Hütte mountain hut, then branches to the right as route no. 14. A farm trail leads northeast to Radoar Alm mountain hut and further up, to Brugger Schupfe hut, past trail 8/10 to the hut.

You can access the Kreuztal Valley by cable car (bus service to the valley station from Bressanone/Brixen). Route no. 14 travels from the mountain station (note Dolomiten Panoramaweg panoramic trail) eastward to the Plose-Forststraße street.

From there, follow the evenly ascending road to the first bend, from where the access road bears right to the Rossalm mountain hut.

The Gampenalm mountain hut lies at the end of the Villnösstal Valley, in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. The mountain hut can be reached from the Zanser parking lot (Nature Park information point) to the left, then along forest trail no. 25 along the Kaserillbach stream in the direction of the valley, then to the right on footpath no. 33 (indications), sloping southward through the meadows.

Poco dopo inizia la Via delle Odle segnavia n. 35 che si segue in direzione ovest fino alla deviazione del sentiero segnavia n. 35B, che porta alla malga Geisleralm.

La via di accesso parte dal parcheggio di Zannes (Info Parco Naturale). Si segue la strada forestale segnavia n. 36 (cartelli) che porta verso valle, per deviare sul sentiero a sinistra. Raggiunto il greto di un torrente laterale si prende la strada forestale di accesso. In alcuni tornanti nel ripido bosco si raggiunge la baita Geisleralm e poco oltre la Malga di Casnago.

Accesso stradale da Chiusa fino al parcheggio Saltnerstein sull’Alpe di Villandro (anche raggiungiblie con servizio di linea). Dal parcheggio vicino al Rifugio Gasser il sentiero segnavia n. 24 porta direttamente al Ristorante-malga Am Rinderplatz.

Access road from Chiusa/Klausen via Villandro/Villanders to the parking lot near the Gasserhütte mountain hut (reachable also with public bus service). Starting from the parking lot the path no. 24 leads directly to the Am Rinderplatz alpine hut.

Assolto l’accesso stradale da Chiusa via Villandro al Rifugio Gasser (anche servizio di linea e navetta) si sale verso ovest per mulattiera (cartelli), poi per la strada alpestre fino alla baita Mair in Plun a sinistra nei prati.

After the Chiusa/Klausen access road leading via Villandro/Villanders to the Gasserhütte mountain hut (bus and shuttle service), the footpath continues uphill and then to the west on a forest path in the high forest toward the Moar in Plun Hütte mountain hut.

Il Rifugio Feltuner Hütte è un punto di partenza ideale per escursioni in alta quota.

La malga si trova nell’area sciistica ed escursionistica Corno del Renon ed è comodamente raggiungibile dalla stazione a monte Schwarzseespitze/Cima Lago Nero della cabinovia, seguendo la strada forestale n. 19 in direzione Corno di Sotto.

Ausgehend von Tschöfas (Parkmöglichkeit) führt der Weg mit der Mark. 34 vorbei am Gspoihof bis zur Unterpulghütte.

La baita Unterpulg si trova nei boschi a monte di S. Pietro/Laion. Partendo da Ceves (parcheggio disponibile) si segue il segnavia n. 34, passando il maso Gspoihof si arriva alla baita Unterpulg.

The Unterpulg hut lies in the Alpine meadows on the south-facing hillside forest above S. Pietro/St. Peter-Laion/Lajen. Starting from Ceves/Tschöfas (parking lot available) the path no. 34 pass the Gspoihof farm and leads directly to the Unterpulg hut.

VON ST. PETER/LAJEN ZUR RAMITZLER-SCHWAIGE Da S. Pietro/Laion alla malga Ramitzler-Schwaige From St. Peter/Lajen to the Ramitzler-Schwaige alpine hut Die Ramitzler-Schwaige liegt in den Almwiesen am Fuße der Außerraschötz.

Ausgehend von St. Peter führt der Anstieg zur Unterpulghütte – wie dort beschrieben – und auf dem Forstweg Mark. 35 (Weitwanderweg) im Hochwald ostwärts zur Hütte.
