VANS

In Erinnerung an den schillernden Sänger, Musiker und Schauspieler David Bowie stellt Vans Anfang April eine „Off The Wall“-Kollektion mit Schuhen und Kleidung ihm zu Ehren vor. „We are all Stardust“: Auch wenn David Bowie vielleicht niemals auf einem Skateboard stand, verbindet ihn mit Vans die ewige Suche nach dem etwas Anderen, nach dem Ungewöhnlichen außerhalb des Mainstreams.

Inspirieren ließen sich die Designer der kalifornischen Skate-Brand von den größten Werken und wechselnden Persönlichkeiten des „Chameleon of Pop“. Seine berühmten Albumcover von Space Oddity bis Blackstar und Bowies Verwandlungen in den androgynen Ziggy Stardust, den eleganten Thin White Duke oder Major Tom standen Pate für die Vans x David Bowie Kollektion. Mit T-Shirts, Longsleeves, Caps und Sneakers feiert Vans stilvoll den „Mann, der vom Himmel fiel“.

Zu den Highlights der Mini-Kollektion zählt der OldSkool aus naturweißem Glattleder mit dem berühmten Blitz vom legendären Album „Aladdin Sane“. Eine neue zukunftsweisende Vision der Mobilität hatte Autodesigner Matthias Lingner vor Augen, als er 2014 den E-Bike-Concept-Store WINGWHEELS gründete.

Längst haben sich E-Bikes zum Lifestyle-Objekt entwickelt und werden immer mehr Teil eines modernen urbanen Lebensstils. Er ist davon überzeugt, dass die Zukunft in der E-Mobilität liegt und E-Bikes eine echte Alternative zum Auto sind.

Dabei ist auch Nachhaltigkeit ein wichtiges Thema und bestimmt das gesamte Store-Konzept. Auf 120 Quadratmetern präsentiert er ausgesuchte E-Bikes, die Funktion, Design und Ästhetik bieten. Angeboten werden nur Modelle, die vom Team selbst getestet und für sehr gut befunden wurden. Alle Bikes können nach Wunsch individuell konfiguriert werden. In dem aufgeräumten Store findet man außerdem hochwertiges Zubehör für Bike und Fahrer, wie zum Beispiel smarte Bike-Fashion von Pedal Ed und eine große Auswahl an Helmen.

Bei WINGWHEELS können E-Bikes nicht nur gekauft, sondern auch gemietet werden. Die hauseigene Werkstatt bietet einen Rundum-Service und während die Kunden darauf warten, dass kompetente Mechaniker ihr E-Bike wieder flott machen, können sie einen leckeren Cappuccino genießen.

When he opened the E-bike concept store WINGWHEELS in 2014, transportation designer Matthias Lingner had a new forward-looking vision of mobility in mind. E-bikes have already become lifestyle objects and are increasingly becoming part of a modern, urban lifestyle. Lingner is convinced that the future lies in E-mobility and that E-bikes are a real alternative to cars.

Sustainability plays a big part in this idea, noticeable in the whole store concept.

On 120 square metres he presents select E-bikes that combine function, design and aesthetics. Only models that the WINGWHEELS team tested themselves, and gave their seal of approval to, are on offer.

All bikes can be configured to fit individual specifications and needs. The tidy store also offers high-quality equipment for bikes and riders, for example smart bike fashion by Pedal Ed and a large selection of helmets.

But WINGWHEELS not only sells E-bikes, they also rent them. The competent in-store service station offers an all-around service and while professional bike mechanics make your E-bike quickly roadworthy again, you can enjoy a delicious cappuccino.
