JAN

CARNIVAL SEASON

New Orleans is most well-known for Mardi Gras and the festivities that accompany it. What many do not realize is that the season starts on All Kings Day, January 6th, and runs through Mardi Gras Day. Parades, parties and more galore!

FEB

MARDI GRAS DAY

Mardi Gras always falls on a Tuesday - most of the time in February, but sometimes in March as well. There are typically 10+ days of parades throughout the city, West Bank, Metairie & Northshore! Ash Wednesday commences the Lent season, where we often have Fish Fry Fridays!

ST PATRICK'S DAY FESTIVITIES

New Orleans has a neighborhood called the Irish Channel, as Irish settlers were here working in the late 19th Century. No wonder we have so many St. Patrick's Day parades and block parties! The festivities are not to be missed!

APR

FRENCH QUARTER FEST

The largest free music festival happens right here in the French Quarter.

Local musicians come out to play for four days straight throughout the streets of the Quarter, Jackson Square, and Woldenberg Park along the river. Some of our best food is offered alongside world-renown musicians and artisan vendors.

JAZZ FEST

The last weekend in April and the first weekend in May are always, always designated for Jazz Fest. Before the weather becomes unbearably hot, some of the biggest names in music will ascend onto New Orleans Fairgrounds in Mid-City. It's an experience not to be missed!

JUN

PRIDE MONTH

New Orleans is home to one of the largest percentages of LGBTQ persons in the United States at nearly 5%. It's no surprise that our Pride Month, including Pride Parade is a big deal! You'll also find Black Pride Weekend, a Queer History Tour and more!

JULY

RUNNING OF THE BULLS

San Fermin in Nueva Orleans is a unique event that, outside of Pamplona, you'll only find in NOLA! Bear the heat early in the morning while you get chased by our Roller Derby Krewe, Nola Bulls.

AUG

WHITE LINEN NIGHT

Let's get classy on Julia Street! This art studio-laden street in the Warehouse District opens up for a night of fun, art, and festivities. Local music, artists, and friends gather to view some of the best art in the United States!

SAINTS FOOTBALL

Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat say gonna beat dem Saints? That's the chant you're likely to hear throughout the Saints football season, Attend a game at the Superdome downtown, or visit one of the many local bars for a chance to meet fellow football fanatics.

OCT

FESTIVAL SEASON

There are too many festivals in October to tell you them all! From the Fried Chicken Festival to the Beignet Festival, to Voodoo Fest, to Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival, to the Treme Fall Festival, and more!

You're guaranteed to be conflicted each week deciding where to go!

NOV

OAK ST PO-BOY FEST

The Po Boy originated in New Orleans as the Poor Boy. It's a sandwich on fluffy French bread and oftentimes people will order Roast Beef, Fried Shrimp, Fried Oysters, or any combo you can think of! This festival comes with food, music, and art - just how we like it here in NOLA!

HOLIDAYS IN NEW ORLEANS

The holiday season is magical here in the Big Easy. From the lighting of the Roosevelt Lobby to the Canal Street lighting, Celebration in the Oaks in City Park to the Nutcracker Ballet, your schedule will be full all season long.
