People Help local believers carry good news to every person in Africa!
1,208,904,425

At Every Home for Christ, the dream we share is massive: with your help—and with the help of believers like you all over the world—we’re carrying the good news to every soul on earth. We take that dream literally and seriously.

In my eyes, one of the greatest risks of a dream so enormous is that the scope of it could undermine the heart of it. We could lose sight of the one amid trying to reach everyone. Our task, as believers, is to hold together an urgency to reach every person in this generation with a Christ-like attention that recognizes the dignity of every single soul along the way.

As a ministry, one way we avoid this risk is by empowering local leaders who truly see their own communities. They know the complexities, needs and nuances of their people and—with your support—they are able to develop ministry that truly embodies love. It happens one soul at a time and multiplies across nations. Every Home for Christ teams around the world won’t lose sight because they are right down the street.

Seeing the One in Africa

As a believer with a desire to love people like Jesus, I have found that the best place to start is often simply by seeing people with fresh eyes. When I let go of my assumptions and invite the Lord to show me what he sees, I am overcome by the beauty, worth and dignity of every single person on this planet. I am compelled by the need for each and every one to know Jesus loves them.

Inside, we’re sharing stories to inspire you to take a fresh look at an entire continent: Africa. The 51 nations of Africa are diverse in every way and Every Home for Christ’s ministry there is thriving. Under the leadership of believers who call these communities home, our teams are doing whatever it takes to make sure every person on this continent encounters Christ.

May you be inspired to see the people of Africa with the eyes of Jesus today. Thank you for joining us to make sure no one is overlooked.

For everyone, everywhere and every generation,

“Every mission has something at stake and for us the stakes could not be higher. We are dealing with people’s souls and eternal destinies. We all face a choice — eternity in heaven with Jesus or suffering apart from the Creator. We work, we serve, we share and we pray because we don’t want anyone to miss a chance to know the Saviour. When we pray for others and share the message of the Gospel, it saves men and women and ignites our own faith. We believe that when we reach out to every person on earth with the love of Jesus, we can transform the world... one life at time.”

South Africa Every Home for Christ

One Heart

Many Every Home teams across Africa carry the love of Christ by caring for practical needs.

The island of Cape Verde might seem worlds away from the rest of Africa but the heart of ministry remains the same.

During an outreach to teenage mothers in Cape Verde, our team met Janice, who had to drop out of school when she became pregnant at 16. She was facing life alone. Janice was moved by the love and support she received from believers. “Please don’t stop doing this,” she implored.

For women like Janice, the counselling and practical help they receive is the embodiment of Jesus’ love—love that doesn’t leave.

Did you know?

Africa has over 2,000 recognised languages! Nigeria alone has more than 500 indigenous languages.

Did you know?

Africa is the youngest continent: 60% of its population is under the age of 25.

What does it look like to carry the gospel to everyone on the enormous, varied continent of Africa? It looks different in each context but it always begins with local bodies of believers. Here are a few snapshots!

Did you know?

The Sahara Desert is bigger than the continental United States. Africa is also home to lush jungles and mighty rivers.

The Fields

It’s the middle of the last harvest season in the Central African Republic. At dusk, farmers returning from the fields gather their families at the foot of the big screen to watch a special showing of the Jesus Film.

Earlier that day, women from 18 local churches trained for outreach, prayed for their community and visited homes, hospitals, and schools to share the Gospel.

The hospitable culture in many regions of Africa and believers’ intimate knowledge of their communities make outreaches like this possible.

Believers in the Central African Republic start up the projector at the end of a long day of outreach so that the farmers in the fields will not miss an opportunity to encounter Jesus.

The Church

In many parts of Africa, local leaders possess considerable authority over the areas they govern. Similarly, regional church leaders often coordinate trainings and outreaches—using their influence to equip churches. Thanks to their efforts, thousands of people often encounter Jesus in just a few days!

When a local chief or leader encounters the love of Jesus, it can transform a whole community. The chief of Milamizibi, Cameroon welcomed an Every Home for Christ team with “open arms.” Following his lead, many in Milamizibi have turned toward Jesus, forming a Christ Group in a local believer’s home.

“The zeal and passion for the salvation of souls that believers carry in their hearts is the source of their energy for the expansion of the Gospel,” explains Laurent, our ministry director in Cameroon. He’s right! The Gospel is filling Africa because the love of Jesus is filling the hearts and lives of believers all over the world— believers like you! Thank you.

LAURENT TAGNE, EVERY HOME FOR CHRIST MINISTRY DIRECTOR, CAMEROON

Will you join believers in sharing the love of Jesus with all 1,208,904,425 people in Africa?

1 Cyclone Freddy, a record-breaking storm that barrelled into the landlocked southeast African nation of Malawi on March 14th, brought a deluge of mud and floodwaters that has left nearly 200 people dead and destroyed homes and livelihoods. Malawi Every Home for Christ has evangelists in this area. Please pray for their safety and that the Lord would use them to bring comfort and help to the people of southern Malawi during these difficult days. We will keep you updated as we receive more news!

MALAWI is facing its deadliest cholera outbreak in recorded history and its largest in the last two decades, leaving 4.8 million people in need of assistance. Although the outbreak was initially limited to the southern part of the country, it has since spread to all 29 districts of Malawi, including areas that were cholera-free for more than a decade.

IN THE EVERY HOME FOR CHRIST FOOD SECURITY AREA, due to the cholera outbreak, women were encouraged to let Every Home for Christ install a full package hygiene system in their homes - a toilet, bathroom, kitchen, rubbish pit and plate dryer. Every household was advised to practise hand washing to protect their families from cholera. Mothers were also advised to take their children or any person showing signs of cholera related to the nearest clinics for treatment and to practice hygiene in their homes. So far 3 children have been taken to hospital with Cholera but there have been no deaths in the area. Please pray for their safety from this cholera epidemic.

MALAWI FOOD AND INCOME SECURITY PROJECT SPECIAL CROP SITUATION REPORT FEBRUARY 2023

Karonga District (in the north of Malawi where we have our project) has been severely affected with drought for the whole month of February, 2023.

The drought has very much affected the Maize crop which is at the flowering stage as the crop needs a lot of moisture. Farmers even applied a second application of fertiliser but the crop has been scorched severely. Almost every farmer has been affected with this natural disaster and there is a real fear of not being able to reap a harvest despite efforts and costs spent during farming activities for this crop growing season.

Even though the rain has come now there is no hope for revamping the Maize crop situation and women households are living in hopelessness and fear of food insecurity.

To try and help this situation we have provided more drought tolerant crops like Cassava and Sweet Potatoes which may improve the food situation at the household level. We are also training on dietary diversification (to rely also on other food-stuff apart from Maize).

Maines Kamanga is a widow taking care of 3 children and 5 grandchildren and her hope was that her maize field would feed her family but all hope has now gone and she is worrying what will happen to her family.

She is just one of 450 womenheaded households whose maize fields have been scorched by the prolonged dry spell in the area.

WE WOULD LIKE TO PROVIDE EXTRA FOOD FOR THESE 45O WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING THIS CRISIS
