STRONG FUTURE From the very beginning, SKS parishioners have demonstrated commitment to the church and its spiritual needs by generously responding to fundraising calls. Beginning in 1893, 70 families raised over $35,000 to erect the parish’s first church. Throughout the years, parishioners continued their generous support of our parish. Our strength began in the past, and the future is promising. The number of registered parishioners continues to steadily rise; today, St. Katharine’s serves over 2100 families. The parish is vibrant and strong, with over 30 active programs and organizations that include evangelization, youth ministry and religious education. St. Katharine of Siena needs your help to continue to grow. A gift to the 2023 Legacy Fund will secure our future by providing for abundant worship opportunities, modern facilities and a high-quality school that will serve our parishioners, families and children for many years to come.

For 130 years, St. Katharine of Siena has been a vibrant Catholic community united by a deep faith in God, worship and commitment to serve others. Please support Legacy Fund: Securing Our Future to continue this tradition for our children and future generations.

A CALL TO ACTION Just like any dwelling, our spiritual home requires ongoing upkeep. It is once again time to undertake several major projects: The 2022 Pastoral Plan initiatives will require funding to enhance liturgy experience, increase parishioner engagement and encourage faith sharing The entire church roof is overdue for replacement The church sound system, state-of-the-art in 2012, needs to be replaced (technology has greatly advanced in the last ten years)

STRATEGIC SPENDING Thanks to a strong response to the 2007 Legacy Fund capital campaign, we have been able to address urgent repairs and upgrades to the church, parish center, school and convent. Church projects included replacing more than 600 slate roof tiles, updating the interior lighting and installing a new sound system. Major improvements to the school included adding air conditioning, resurfacing the play area and constructing a science lab and multimedia center. Funds were also used to repaint the gym following last year’s flood.

With five buildings, six acres and a staff of 53, our community should always be prepared for ongoing maintenance

PASTORAL PLAN INITIATIVES

SOUND SYSTEM $75,000 10 year investment
