Ristorante Roma
from Absolute Living
by Eduardo Pena
Every dish tells a story at Ristorante Roma, located in the heart of the Carmel Arts & Design District. Chef Raffaele D’Eusebio and his wife Alessia bring Roman heritage to life in the charming, family-run restaurant that celebrates the flavors of their hometown. Here, the menu changes with the seasons, and the pasta and gnocchi are made from scratch each day. D’Eusebio’s masterfully crafted menu pays homage to Roman culinary traditions while adding his unique twist. This summer, he’s excited to have the veal scaloppine al marsala on the menu, as well the Gambaro, a summer standout that pairs your choice of fresh pasta with sauteed shrimp and a delicate sun dried tomato cream sauce.
To complement the exceptional cuisine, Ristorante Roma boasts an extensive wine list showcasing boutique wines from Italy, Napa and around the world. From rich reds to crisp whites, each bottle has been thoughtfully selected by D’Eusebio to enhance the flavors of his dishes and provide an unforgettable dining experience. The full bar has been adding fresh and fruity drinks to beat the summer heat, along with Italian margaritas and an espresso martini for dessert. Other summer desserts include the fresh lemon pannacotta with a blueberry reduction and the pistachio tiramisu. This month, Roma’s new outdoor terrace will welcome guests for shaded dining on one side and a comfortable 21+ lounge perfect for enjoying drinks and light bites or dessert by the fire pit on the other.
