Let go of the daily grind at Grindstone on the Monon, nestled along the Monon Trail in Westfield, beckoning food enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. You’ll find Grindstone’s atmosphere and location to be perfect for an intimate date night, family celebration or a mid-bike ride beer and snack break. The restaurant is upscale yet comfortable, blending delectable cuisine, an inviting atmosphere and convenient access to the great outdoors, says Blake Fogelsong, owner and director of operation for Clancy’s, Inc., a family-owned and operated restaurant business with deep Hoosier roots.

Celebrating its fifth summer season, Grindstone on the Monon has a rustic yet contemporary ambiance and presents a menu honoring rich, Midwestern flavors.

“I love to take comfort food and put a bougie twist on it,” says Chef George Koons, who sources local ingredients for the fresh American fare. Menu highlights include crab-crusted salmon, a selection of sliders (filet, pickle-brined chicken, double cheeseburger or fried green tomato) and the Indiana pork tenderloin—a local favorite that never fails to impress. These savory masterpieces are expertly prepared, ensuring each bite is succulent, flavorful and a testament to the dedication to quality and tradition at all Clancy’s restaurants, including Grindstone Public House in Noblesville and The Fountain Room in the Bottleworks District of downtown Indianapolis.

As the evening sun dips below the horizon, the spacious patio sets the stage for live music performances every Thursday. Try one of the featured summer cocktails—a blackberry jalapeno margarita and a hibiscus margarita—to complement the summer vibe and the delicious cuisine.
