Augusta National’s Drive Chip & Putt Regional a Huge Success! Eight skilled juniors advanced to the finals for the Drive Chip & Putt Championship to be hosted at the 2014 Masters! It was a huge thrill for the kids and their parents! 160 of the best from our 10 local qualifiers gathered at Reunion Resort in Orlando for the Regional Finals. The champions from each division took to the Olympic style podium to receive their gold medals and punch their ticket to The Masters! It was worth all the efforts of staff, volunteers and associates to see the faces and emotions of all the competitors and their proud parents! Medals were also awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd for all the contests. A media center was set up

David Damesworth, PGA, and Rob Torri, GCSAA to interview the champions too! Thank you to Augusta National, The USGA and the PGA of America for initiating such a great competition. It’s not only growing the game but providing the thrill of competition to juniors throughout the country. We’ll be applauding our qualifiers on that special Sunday prior to the Masters! Truly a special day!
