Local Area Guide Dockray

Dockray is a quintessential Lakeland village in the idyllic Matterdale Valley, set on the banks of Aira Beck and surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

There is a wealth of outdoor pursuits on the doorstep, including hiking, cycling and horse riding and Ullswater is a short distance away with a number of marinas and yachts clubs.

There is a well reputed hotel/restaurant in the village and an excellent choice of lakeside hotels, bars, shops and leisure facilities nearby in the village of Glenridding. Dockray is conveniently located between Ullswater and the A66, which offers easy access to the M6 and the market towns of Keswick and Penrith, with a West Coast Main Line train station.
