STEP INSIDE Chapel House

Chapel House was built in approximately 1890 and was known as the Weslyan Chapel. The current vendors purchased the chapel in 1997 and converted it into self-catering accommodation, with five bedrooms sleeping up to ten and have subsequently converted the property for their own use. The property ticks all the boxes for those seeking a well proportioned family home or successful holiday let being just a matter of yards from the shore of one of England’s most beautiful lakes. Lake Ullswater. The accommodation at Chapel House is bright and airy due to the large original chapel windows which feature throughout the property. Entering via the vestibule with its wooden panels, cloakroom and stained-glass window, the property’s character and charm is immediately visible. Entering the main living area and what would have been the main chapel, you are greeted with a dining area behind which is a raised mezzanine with the main living space with open fireplace, plenty of space for seating and four large windows with views of Lake Ullswater and the fells beyond. Well positioned window seats provide the perfect situation to enjoy the breathtaking and unique views.
