Pavilions, Shelters, Owen Park Bandshell, and the Phoenix Park Great Lawn and Labyrinth are all reservable Nearby playgrounds and ice rinks remain open to the public during park hours
Neighborhood Park warming shelters that can be reserved during the winter season are Boyd Park, Demmler Shelter, Mitscher Shelter, Oakwood Shelter, Pinehurst Shelter, Putnam Heights Shelter, Roosevelt Shelter, and Sam Davey Shelter Open for Reservations beginning December 10
The Owen Park Bandshell and Pavilion are both reservable The Bandshell is most often used for Public Events For Bandshell Reservations, please call the Parks Administrative Office at (715)839-5039 Pavilion reservations can be made online

Most Community Parks and a few Neighborhood Parks have grills available for your Park Reservations Due to City Ordinance 9 76 110, igniting or maintaining a fire or open flame is not allowed except if fully contained in metal grills in picnic areas or fire rings installed by the City
The City of Eau Claire has three off-leash recreational areas where citizens may responsibly exercise their canines without leashes A daily pass can be purchased at the dog parks. Annual passes for City and Non-City residents can be purchased at the Customer Service Office in City Hall. For more information, call 715-839-4923.

Prior to draining the pool for the summer season, the pool opens one last time as a safe place for dogs to swim! Vendors from the Eau Claire area are present Fairfax Pool will be open exclusively to the canine crowd for this special event (sorry, no people in the pool on this day).

Donations are accepted
Street closures are needed
Tents over 250 square feet will be put up

Volunteers work throughout the City of Eau Claire picking up trash and preparing flowerbeds Register online OR fill out the paper registration form on our website.
If your family, group or organization is looking for an opportunity to take an active role in keeping Eau Claire beautiful, there are several ways you can volunteer:
1. Adopt-a-Park, Adopt-a-Trail, Adopt-a-Flowerbed: Volunteers pick up litter, report vandalism, weed flowerbeds or help with special projects.
2. Park or Trail Clean-up: This is a one-time cleanup of a park or trail area.
Parks and Recreation relies on volunteer coaches for several youth sports; baseball, flag football, soccer, and t-ball. If you have any experience in any of these sports, consider sharing your knowledge and time as a youth sports coach. You will be asked to complete an application before you begin coaching, which includes a background check. INCREASE

Classes offered in partnership with the Eau Claire Area School District ECASD residents pay a materials/supply fee for activities identified with this symbol. This is the second fee listed Non-school district residents must pay the full program fee (first fee)
Your family is considered "Residents" if you pay your property taxes to the City of Eau Claire. If you pay your property taxes to the City of Eau Claire, you are eligible to take the City Resident Discounted Fee Your family is considered "Non-Residents" if you pay your property taxes to a Township or do not live in Eau Claire If you pay your property taxes to a Township, you will have to pay the full Program Fee.

The Eau Claire Parks and Recreation Scholarship Program provides discounted scholarship rates for ECPR youth programs and Fairfax Pool memberships for qualifying youth and families. Recipients must live within the limits of the City of Eau Claire. Scholarship applications must be submitted to the Recreation Administrative Office via email at recscholarships@eauclairewi.gov or in-person Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 4pm at 915 Menomonie Street.
ELIGIBILITY: Any resident living within the City of Eau Claire boundaries currently receiving Federal, State, or Local assistance are eligible. If the address at which you live is located in a Township, different county, or different city you will not be eligible for the program. The following must be submitted when applying for the scholarship:

PARENT/CHILD LEVEL 1
Prerequisites: 6 months of age before the first class
Goals: Familiarize children with water, teach swimming readiness skills, build safe habits for aquatic environments, educate parents on how to safely supervise and enjoy the water with their children
PARENT/CHILD LEVEL 2
Prerequisites: 6 months of age before the first class AND confidently explore the water with support
Goals: Learn when and how to safely enter and exit the water, develop breath control, gain comfort with a feeling of buoyancy, learn arm and leg actions for swimming, and continue building safe habits for aquatic environments, including the expectation of parent supervision and what to do in an emergency. Provides parents with safety information and techniques they can use to help their children in the water
(Age: 4-5 Years): A parent is NOT required to attend.
Prerequisites: 4 years of age before the first class
Goals: Learn when and how to independently enter and exit the water then travel 5 yards, develop breath control, experience and gain comfort with buoyancy on the front and back, practice beginner arm and leg action on the front and back, prepare to safely participate in aquatic activities, learn how to recognize emergencies and call for help All skills can be completed with support by the instructor
SEAL
Goals: Begin to independently float, glide, and travel 3 body lengths, perform previous skills for longer lengths of time or longer distances, explore deeper water, prepare to safely participate in aquatic activities, and learn how to recognize emergencies and call for help All skills can be completed with assistance by the instructor
DOLPHIN
Goals: Gain increasing independence and endurance while swimming, floating, and gliding; explore treading water, learn more about safely participating in aquatic environments, learn how to safely respond once help is on the way All skills should be completed independently
(Ages: 6-15): Begin Learn to Swim with Level 1 unless otherwise recommended by a swim instructor.
Prerequisites: 6 years of age before the first class
Goals: Orient children to the aquatic environment, teach basic aquatic skills, prepare children to safely participate in aquatic activities, and learn a new safety topic each class Skills that are focused on: traveling at least 5 yards, bobbing 5 times then safely exiting the water, gliding on front supported at least 2 body lengths, and rolling to a back float for 5 seconds with assistance
LEVEL 2
Goals: Begin to independently float, glide, and move through the water. Perform previous skills for longer lengths of time for longer distances, explore deeper water, prepare to safely participate in aquatic activities, and learn a new safety topic each class Skills that are focused on: learn to float without support for 15 seconds and swim about 10 yards continuously independently.
LEVEL 3
Goals: Perform previous skills for longer lengths of time or longer distances, introduction to the front crawl, elementary backstroke, headfirst entries, develop water competency, and learn a new safety topic each class Skills focused on: front crawl for 25 yards, swimming the elementary backstroke for 25 yards, survival float, and jumping into deep water from the side and treading.
LEVEL 4
Goals: Perform previous skills with greater proficiency and build endurance, introduction to the back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, butterfly, and turning at the wall Learn a new safety topic each class Skills focused on: breaststroke for 15 yards, back crawl for 15 yards and introduction to butterfly: swim 15 yards.
LEVEL 5
Goals: Perform previous skills with greater proficiency and build endurance. Players enrolled in leagues will receive one t-shirt uniform. If a replacement is needed, please notify the league supervisor. A $5 replacement fee will be charged per shirt. Flag Football jerseys will have a higher replacement fee.
Players are assigned to teams through an evaluation process by elementary school or geographical location when possible
Parents are expected to provide transportation for their children Carpooling requests are secondary to evaluation results Our primary focus is to ensure quality organization of teams
For all youth programs with an age requirement, the child must be of the required age as of the first day of the program For all youth programs with a grade requirement, the child must be going into the required grade during that season All age and grade requirements are set to provide a safe and enjoyable league experience for all participants; therefore, exceptions cannot be made Thank you for your cooperation

For Grades 3-8, practices will be held on Thursday and games will be on Tuesdays. Practices are 90 minutes. For Grade 2, games will be officiated by coaches and no score will be kept. Practices are one hour on Thursdays. Games will be on Tuesdays.

The baseball league is designed to develop fundamental baseball skills while learning game strategy. All players will be placed on a team and play in all games.
The T-ball League is designed to introduce the game of baseball to young players. All players will be placed on a team and play in all games. No pitchers; kids will hit from a batting tee.

The Team Manager will create the team name, team password, and pay for the league fee After your team is registered, reach out to Team Players via email under "My Account" and select "Team Management Services" Managers are able to email a link with a passcode to team players OR share a link to their Facebook Page All players will have to make an ActiveNet account Each player will register online for the team using the assigned password Team managers will also need to register as a player. Team rosters are due prior to the first week of play. Players must be 18 years or older. Games will be scheduled in the evenings Fee MUST accompany team registration to guarantee placement
