Dear Parents, carers and all in the Chessington community,

OPTIONS EVENING

It was a pleasure to welcome Year 9 students and parents to our Options Evening last night. Attendance was superb and the students were buzzing about their possible subject choices for their GCSEs next year A reminder for parents that the options booklet can be found here Individual conversations will take place over the next two weeks with students to advise and support where necessary. A special mention must go to Daisy and Luxton, our two Year 10 representatives who gave excellent heartfelt speeches to the students and parents about how they approached the options process.

WORLD BOOK DAY

World Book Day was a huge success with some great costumes as you will see from the photos

Mr Ashton hosted a range of book-themed activities in the library over break and lunch: From found poetry to a book hunt, students thoroughly enjoyed the activities on offer. It was so lovely to see so many of our students engaged, perfectly encapsulating Chessington School’s passion for reading Well done to all of those that took part.

DETENTION SYSTEM

Our updated detention system has started brilliantly with students being very responsive on the whole which is hugely positive. We have also issued over 10,000 positive points in the last 2 weeks which I am immensely proud of

EXAMS

Year 11 have finished their mocks and for the Drama students they had their actual performance exam which went incredibly well, Miss Twomey was very impressed! The work

ethic demonstrated by all of the students is a real credit to them. They are regularly telling me about how much revision they are completing at home and are excitedly telling me their mock results Long may this continue
