ATTENDANCE

Attendance as always is one of our key focus areas. I did assemblies last week to all students on the importance of being in school. Not only due to the missed learning but also due to missing out on spending time with friends, joining clubs and signing up for trips. Students were shocked that 90% attendance over their school life equates to half a year of missed school which also can equate to one GCSE grade drop per school year - which will obviously have a huge impact on outcomes, future qualifications and employment prospects. I have launched an attendance reward just for this half term, any students that are in every day get entered for a prize draw to win a gift voucher for JD Sports - #beheretolearn

Wishing you a lovely weekend,
