The busy week secludes, taking flights back and forth to cover fashion weeks I find lazy afternoon of Sunday a perfect day to write most of my editor notes. A lot of happenings this year, back to back fashion weeks, spying on latest trends and keeping an eye on the town happenings, a job well done by the team. Season displays for fall/summer 2017 at FPW followed by Bridal Couture Week 2017, is a period that can be exciting and exhausting one. Any piece written or photographed, from the ramp or behind the scenes, whether it is about clothes, the grooming makes this season an exciting one. Fashion runway report of Bridal Couture Week and Runway trends seen at Fashion Pakistan Week are the things to look out in this issue. Our industry has produced some of the big names in fashion field and this season they come up with exciting new cuts and patterns. On the cover we have gorgeous Hira Shah, the girl from UK who has established good name in Pakistan wore Cross Stitch as she models for our cover shoot. In Style Switch we have sister duo Hemayal and Hira of Her&Hem. Hemayal who loves to experiment with new things and trends like suits and skirts. On the other side Hira, who dresses up the way it serves her comfort zone, mostly pants with T-shirts. Read the style section to see how they looks as they dress each other. Everyone knows about Sajal Ali, a little background how it all started lets refresh our reader’s memory. My entrance into this field was very accidental; However, I always knew one thing for sure that I wanted to be someone who could dream and achieve. How you get your role in MOM, who approached you? Boney Kapoor’s best friend happened to be someone who loved watching Pakistani Dramas. So I was shooting for ZKHH and I got a call from India and boney Kapoor approached me directly.

I HAVE LITERALLY DANCED AWAY MY CHILDHOOD ON HER SONGS AND HAVE ALWAYS CONSIDERED HER AS THE EPITOME OF GRACE AND INNOCENCE.
What was the appeal of doing MOM? It was a package. The content was devastatingly important to me and then the cherry on top was added by the cast and crew chosen for the film. Who is Sajal Ali in MOM? Which character you are playing? I am playing Sri Devi’s daughter, who is a teenager and juvenile in her utmost reality of youth. She is a rebellion for zero cause. How was your experience working with Sri Devi? Everyone asks me this question and I keep on telling them that without any second thought or doubt, I’d say that it was a dream come true. I have literally danced away my childhood on her songs and have always considered her as the epitome of grace and innocence. She is not only human. She is an Aura. Can you share a special moment from the sets of MOM? It was when I was about to go for a special sequence in the film and my mama came to me and explained how I could totally play that certain moment in the film. There were thousands of moments when my mama would come to me to hug me, love me, and boost me up for the entire project. This film will be the most special because I started this journey with my mama and I completed it with her will and support.
Indian director? I wouldn’t specify the word Indian as such because your ethnicity does not come into art. So coming to the director; what I learnt from him was to let go. He made me let go of every acting phenomenon that I thought would fit in the character. He simply wanted me to feel the vibe and absorb the energy of the daughter in the film and then sway however I wanted to. Being a star at Lollywood, what is the major difference you noticed while working in Bollywood? I believe that this question is highly irrelevant and so I’d like to reserve any thoughts that I may or may not have for this. Do you watch other movies and try to keep up the inspiration for yourself? I don’t watch movies at all. It’s literally like once in a blue moon that I’d watch any series or movie for leisure time. Instead, I’d go on a walk and think about all the experiences and people I have met in my life and gather my inspiration from them. Lastly, what is your advice for women? Dear women. You are a smart league. Smarter than you know. Don’t step back in achieving what you want to in life. This is your chance. Your only chance. Because none of us are getting out alive from this life. So begin now and lead on. Because you can! They know you can.

EYE MAKEUP STEP 1:
Apply eyeshadow primer on the eyelids, it makes blending easy and eye makeup lasts longer. Recommended Product: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Apply matte eyeshadow in beige all over the eyelid then layer a shimmery beige eyeshadow on top of it, use a taupe or a brown shade to create a crease, blend it well. EBUZZ

STEP 3: (LOOK 2)
Use an eyeshadow in gold on the lids, blend the edges. Apply gel liner close to your lash line, blend it with a pencil brush using black eyeshadow to soften the line. Recommended Product: Inglot Gel Liner, Mac ‘Woodwinked’ Eyeshadow.
STEP 4: (LOOK 3)

Prep your skin with a Moisturiser or Primer, skip this step if you have really oily skin. Use a shimmering skin product if you want a dewy finish. Recommended Products: Becca Liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector & Mac Strobe Cream

If you have dark circles, use a color corrector in peach or orange. Ever wonder why the under eye area turn grey when you apply foundation

Fill in your brows with an eyebrow powder or pencil, set with a brow gel.
MASCARA: Always curl your lashes with a curler before applying mascara. You can either use a drugstore or high end mascara, makes absolutely no difference. The truth is, most drugstore mascaras are better than the expensive ones and they are less than half the price. Use a waterproof mascara if you have watery eyes. Apply false lashes for extra Oomph! This year’s A7 has a 5.7inch display, making it slightly larger than last year’s 5.5-inch model. With the demise of the Note7, this also makes the A7 the only 5.7-inch smartphone in Samsung’s current lineup. Despite the phone’s large size, the curved rear and fairly compact dimensions make it quite comfortable to hold. The 5.7-inch canvas is your run-ofthe-mill super AMOLED display (1,920x1,080 resolution). While there will be the inevitable calls for a higher-resolution screen, we believe this resolution offers a fine balance for this genuinely big screen. The Galaxy A7 also has “Always-on Display”, which shows the time, date, battery level and notifications, even if the phone screen is off. The device is powered by an Octa core, 1.9 GHz, Cortex A53 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. The A7 runs smoothly for the most part, even on intensive games such as Real Racing and Asphalt 8 and during multitasking. single charge with medium use, and fast-charging capabilities are a bonus. While phone makers are rushing to ensure that they update existing phones to the newer Android 7 (Nougat) software, Samsung’s new phone stays with the much older Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). On the back of the A7 is a 16-megapixel, f/1.9, 27mm rear camera that sits completely flush with the back of the phone. There’s a small LED flash module next to it. The 16-megapixel camera captures good daytime photographs, with lively colors. The focus locks quickly, but you will have to do without optical image stabilization (OIS). Like most of Samsung’s phones, the power button is on the right side, and the two volume buttons are on the left side. We like this layout and find it to be the most ergonomic position to easily reach every button. Below the volume buttons is the first nano-SIM card tray, while on top there’s another slot with a second nano-SIM tray and a dedicated microSD
card slot that accepts cards up to 256GB in capacity, so you don’t have to pick between dual SIM and expandable storage functionality. On the bottom of the phone is a USB-C port and, thankfully, a 3.5mm headphone jack. The speaker has been repositioned to the right corner above the power button. It’s not the most powerful speaker, lacking mainly in bass, but it’s good enough if you can’t be bothered to plug in your headphones or you just want to show your friend a video. If you do plug in some headphones, you can head to the Sound Quality and Effects menu in the Settings app for some advanced options to fine tune your listening experience. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) has nearly everything you want from a smartphone: a gorgeous metal and glass build, useful features like an always-on display and an IP68 dust and water resistant build, expandable storage and a long battery life.

What is the idea behind “The Moment Specialists”? how many people are behind this successful venture? Always good in planning surprises for friends and families on their special occasions gave me the boost and idea that why not pursue it as a professional career. And everyone needs someone or something to be motivated so that one can take the step and initiate, In my case it was my best friend OPM who gave me the motivation and the chance to work in collaboration with his company and I started off as a Creative Director for set designing and started doing small scale events. So in 2014 I came up with the idea of TMS (The Moment Specialist) and the idea was to make people’s Moment special and bringing smile to their faceson the biggest day of their lives.
2. Have you ever had to plan more than one event simultaneously? How did you do it? What was the result? Yes and that was the time when I realized that I had to expand and build a team who was equally devoted towards making these events memorable for our clients, And so far we have been meeting our client’s expectations. So to answer this question the results were amazing and motivating. 3. How do you use social media for your event planning or for attracting customers? We have been low key on the social media because we have been working mostly on referral basis but now we are planning to start focusing on social media marketing since it is the best tool for any business to reach the potential client. 4. How would you manage stress as the date of an event draws near? Stress only comes when you are not prepared for it. 5.
Describe your most successful event. What did you do that made it so successful? I can’t really prioritize the success of events on any level because Alhamdulilah all the events we did so far went successful. But yes the most interesting event we did was for a client who came in and after the first meeting she didn’t want to discuss anything further and wanted us to surprise her because of the trust level she got from our interest in doing her event. On the day of event the surprising smile on the couple’s face was what made it clearly the most successful event so far.
6. What types of events do you usually plan? Do you have a specialty? Why did you choose it? Weddings! Because these are the events which require most of the planning and its always fun to be a part of the happy family moments 7. How would you persuade a client of the value of your services? Every single client who comes to us are well aware of the sincerity and the values of the efforts and the interest that we put in their projects 8. What elements must be considered before you start planning an event? Selecting an appropriate venue, Drafting a written plan, Managing the flow of the event, Creating a surprising emotional moment, And most importantly, The understanding of the couple with our team. A GLIMPSE OF EUROPE 1. What corner of the world did you choose to go? It was quite a long trip we have planned, which started from Dubai and ended up in Europe. 20 days of fun, laugh, joy, and happiness and off course chilly weather of Turkey and Europe. I love winter season, its like the best for me to travel because of course I get an off easily in this season. 2. If you have to name your travel experience, what would it be? BLAST!!!! Yes it was. 3. Any tips on how to pack? Well honestly, I am not really a right person to ask this question because usually I travel with extra baggage. So you can understand well. But yeah if you are planning for Turkey and Europe in winter season then you must keep a warm enough jacket for yourself and yes please for Paris, DO NOT forget to keep an umbrella along there. Because it can rain over there any time.
4. What was the hardest adjustment you had to make? Food, nothing else made me to worry except my eating habit. 5. What was the weirdest food you tasted there? I am a safe player when it comes to food so there wasn’t as such. But yeah there was this mint tea the shopkeeper made me to try and damn it was like you just smell it only and it will work like steam and open up your nose and all if you are having cough and all. It even smelled like a Vicks. 6. What has been the most interesting item of food you’ve tasted there? I enjoyed Turkish food while staying in Antalya. Their new dishes with Pakistani name were quite amazing. But the taste we have in our country food I bet you wont be able to find it anywhere if you are desi food lover. 7. How many foreign words have you learnt so far? Quite a few, like comment allez-vous. It means how are you? And many more. 8. Do you call yourself a traveller or a tourist? Traveller. 9. How many gadgets were you carrying? Total 3. My cell phone, my camera and my laptop.

10. What destination have you found to be overrated? I know it must amaze many people but Paris was a disappointment for me. I

was expecting much more from there. Loved Turkey and Rome though. 11. What was the best place you stayed in? Kremlin Palace in Antalya. Everyone must go there and stay it actually is a palace with all the entertainment inside their hotel along with a beach and not to mention 5 times of food buffet for free. You can eat as much as you can and every time there were new dishes plus they had their indoor games inside their hotel, restaurants, bars etc. Also they have their hotel interconnected with another hotel next to them and it was like amazing both were totally different from each other. 12. Who is your dream travel companion? My best friends, my crime partners Khayam, Rizwan, Maliha and Iffat. They all are my best companions. We always travel along but the best one is Khayam. He is like amazing. We just follow him and don’t worry about him when he is along. He is the BEST!!! 13. What was the funniest/strangest/most insightful thing a local said? When one of our friend has to go to see her relatives and me, Khayam and Rizwan went for a movie in Paris and while returning back we saw 2 Black guys (Not trying to be racist I swear) standing in our hotel lane and as soon as we were about to enter in that lane they started starring at us and started talking in their language and Riz and Mr.K walked back and said no to go in that lane and started asking the taxi drivers standing over there to drop us at hour hotel and they were looking at us like we were drunk or what? Because it was just like 30/50 steps away we went back to a coffee shop and came back after an hour and went back running to our hotel just because we were scared that

from some where those guys will pop up and mug us. It was hilarious because it was only in our heads feeded by our friends living there that you have to stay alert if you see any of these around. And then we laughed a lot once we got back to the hotel that how scared we were at that time and ran away actually!!!. LOL 14. Where would you revisit? Would you ever move to any of those cities? TURKEY!!!!! Without any doubt. 15. What was the most surprising thing you saw or did? Vatican city in Rome and Kremlin Palace in Antalya they were just amazing. 16.If you could only re-live five minutes of the trip, which five minutes would it be? Every single minute was fun and memorable for us. But yes the most one was when we lost our way and founded a new hidden place in Rome which was amazing. That was some church and it was beautiful. 17. Now that you’ve been to these places, what are two other places you’d like to go? Well InshAllah very soon my next plan is for USA. Will be visiting soon as soon my bosses will allow me to take an off. ::-P Kidding. I love them they are amazing mashAllah but yeah very soon inshAllah next trip is for USA. Thumbs up!
