DRR MESSAGE Dear Rotaractors, "I accept to take up the office of District Rotaract Representa ve for the year 2016-17 for our beau ful RI District 3230" were not words that came out of my mouth easily, it was mixed with all the emo ons I have felt in my 9 years journey in Rotaract since 2007. I take this opportuni es to share some thoughts I've always had. Leadership is all about trus ng the right people and forgiving the wrong ones. Be a fair leader without holding grudges. Focus on your year plan and involve as many people as you can. Have your own style of doing things and never change your ways to please others. If the man receiving the loudest applause in the room is considered the greatest, then only jokers will rule this world, so I urge you, the age of mass is over, please work towards a classier future! We belong to an interna onal organisa on and it is our responsibility to maintain its standards. End of the day, we are just a bunch of youngsters between age group of 18-30, so let's enjoy the friendship and fellowship through service which is what Rotaract is all about. Focus on your career & future first and then invest the rest of your me in delivering the work you signed up for this year. Nothing is impossible if you can just make a good plan and s ck to it.Let's be friends...Let's be peaceful... Let's be different!!!I thank everyone who supported me in ensuring the District Installa on - "Subha Arambham" happens in a memorable fashion.We have lots of plans lined up to keep us busy for the next few months and I request all the clubs support so that we Make A Difference together. Natarajan Nagoji our District Governor as the Chief Guest for the day, Mrs. Sharma Prasanna the Innerwheel District Chairman as the Guest of Honor and Rtn. Tamilselvan the Director – Youth Service, Rtn. Srinivasan the Chairman – Rotaract and PDRR Rtn. PHF. Karthik Ki u the RI Commi ee member for Rotaract & Interact as the Special Guest for the Subha Arabham of Rotaract District 3230. Whatever you do, or dream to do, begin it. Boldness has its own genius, power and magic in it. The following are the launches made during the District Installa on – Subha Arabham :

Observa ons of the UN day’S by the District Interna onal Team. TRF Student Exchange by Rtn. Dakshayini. Short Film contest on Road Safety by Rtn. Padma from Rotary Club of Madras Mount. And the launch the first Newsle er and Mini Directory by the District Editorial Board.
A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step- and the first step to success has began in the most tremendous way possible with eminent people on and off the dais to shower their blessings upon the first and the last lady DRR of RI District 3230. Well begun is half done and now it's me to complete the rest in the most admirable way possible under the guidance of the past, innova ve ideas of the future and the mellifluous presence of the present leader.

New beginnings…. New possibili es…. A District Rotaract Council mee ng is all it takes for fresh ideas, new friendships and a lot of catching up!!! The first DRC for the year 2016 -2017, was hosted by the District Sergeant-at-arms team and the Rotaract Club of Women's Chris an College, at the Yellow pages building on RK Salai, on 10th July 2016 between 11:00 a.m. and 01:00 p.m.. In total 18 clubs made their announcements and there were 6 district announcements. th
The second DRC will take place on 17 July 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE District Interna onal Service Team for the year 2016-17 has taken an Ini a ve in Celebra ng all UN Days for the Rotary year 206-17. The Rotaract Clubs and the District Interna onal Service Team togeather will celebrate and spread awareness in the Public, Social Medias on all United Na on Days. The team have successfully launched the Project in District Installa on Ceremony on 0912-2016. Rotaract Club of Dhanalakshmi College Of Engineering Made its First Step on 11-07-2016 by Clebra ng "World Popula on Day" by spreading awareness through a video in Social Media.

It acts as an aid to the board members in realizing the roles that they have signed up for, as a beacon of the roles that they have taken up for the Rotary year, it is the recogni on of the work done by fellow rotaractors and the beginning of the journey of future leaders.
