The autumn/winter 2022 collection is a continuity and completion of our various collections. In the heart of our Beirut studios Selim Mouzannar and the team were able to bring these pieces to life. From imagining, to sketching, to stone selection, setting and polishing. We introduced the new fiery orange transparent enamel in the Aïda collection as well as the charms and fish for love. A color with a lot of depth and reflections. Makes us dream and think of beautiful sunrises and collection stands out, with hexagonal shape diamonds, tanzanites with the addition of rhodolite garnets.

Immerse yourself in the reflections of the Mediterranean with infinite blue-green lights, this is the delicious sensation that inspired Selim Mouzannar for his new Aïda collection.
In addition the new fiery orange transparent enamel will take you straight to the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Rose gold has been molded to create an organic and delicately sensual shape, revival models of iconic rings and domed bangles from the 80s. The surface of the gold covered with a transparent enamel has been carved like the movement of the waves imprints the depths of the sea. A star set with diamonds sparkles on this translucent surface with the intensity of the stars shining at Aïda,night.like the romantic epic of ancient Egypt, and as the symbolic word which signifies there turn to hope. Aïda, the new collection that immerses us in the bluish and marvelous infinity of the universe of Selim Mouzannar, an invitation to travel, to beauty, to peace and to hope.

The purity that a fjord’s crystalline water radiates is the sensation that Selim Mouzannar sought to replicate with his work on Step Cuts such as the Emerald Cut found in his Gemma collection. That cut of architectural purity was significative of Art Deco models since the early years of the past century. He explored the seamless geometry of the hexagonal shape.
The Step Cut preserves more of the raw weight of the stone when compared to Round Brilliant Cuts but it does not lie, it requires the choice of exceptional gems with no defects. Step Cut stones are shallower than Brilliant Cuts, and their softer sparkle seamlessly echoes the clarity of crystalline waters. The stone is embedded in an invisible Baguette-Cut Rose Gold setting, which perfectly complements the unique and timeless hexagonal shape. Rose de France is a tribute to France —Selim Mouzannar’s home at heart — and to the unrivaled craftsmanship of the lapidaries of Haut-Jura, where the art of manually guiding the light inside the stone with millimetric precision has been passed-on from father to son for three centuries.

The pocket watch’s chain is a classic in the Ottoman art of jewelry. The typical chain model is connected to the watch itself by a key,and ends with a number of gold pompoms which protrude fromthe gusset. Other valuable and precious relics can be added tothe chain, which transforms it into somewhat of a Swiss knifeof

This season’s medals were designed with joyfully animated rusty red, navy blue, green and the addition of the fiery orange transparent enamel, set with all his famous lucky charms.

What is a jewel, if not a bond materialized in a precious object?
The entire range of emotions and messages contained in a jewel is demonstrated by the Link collection, which takes as its starting point the link of a round, oval, or rectangular shaped chain with round lines. This link is available in either silver or ebony, bare or paved with black, brown or white diamonds. It attaches to others to form a necklace or bracelet of several shades of steel, rust or earth tones. This deliberately raw line, symbolizes an ideal form of thinking: human solidarity in its diversity, where feelings are expressed without artifice.

It is undoubtedly the inspiration Selim Mouzannar drew from the flowers that cover the walls of houses in his neighbourhood of Achrafieh in spring that led him to name his new line Gemma; a bud in the true sense of the word, a metaphorical precious stone.
The rectangular emerald cut, with its four corners and symmetrical facets, is a peaceful one for reflection, revealing its clarity. the rarity of the emerald- cut coloured stones selected by Selim makes each individual Gemma ring unique.
Nature is Selim’s main source of inspiration, and he likes to travel through the mineral world of each precious stone just as he likes to roam among the colours of nature in all its abundance.

A line apart in the Beirut collection, Fortune is illustrated by a variation on the horseshoe. This symbol of luck represents the former stables of the Ottoman army in downtown Beirut. It was under these arches that at the beginning of the 20th century, the jewelers’ souk, of which the Mouzannar family occupied a large part, developed.
