Bunny Money, the Chamber’s inhouse shop local program, has a new look!

Now printed in color, Bunny Money has increased security features and promotes the top ten reasons to Buy in the Briar Patch.

Participating merchants will receive an information packet highlighting the changes. If you are a retail or restaurant business that would like to sign up to receive Bunny Money, please contact the Chamber to be added to the list. Coffee Connections was held on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Central Georgia Technical College. Putnam Campus Director Carrie Dietrich informed the attendees about the school’s three areas of focus which include college credits, adult education and economic development programs. Attendees were then given a tour of the campus to see the distance learning technology and classrooms set up for welding, health care courses, adult education and testing. On Monday, Oct. 21, the Chamber hosted prolific travel writers, Andy Gross and Irv Green, during their tour of the Antebellum Trail. In Eatonton, The Uncle Remus Museum, Historic District, The Plaza Arts Center, Alice Walker Driving Trail, Southern Manor Farms and Rock Eagle were highlighted with a visit. Andy and Irv write freelance stories and produce a syndicated column called “Traveltizers” that appears in more than 50 lifestyle magazines, mostly senior publications including AAA Home and Away.

Amici Lake Oconee held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Amici is under new ownership by the same owners as the Milledgeville location.
