Mission: To maintain and develop Eastminster’s facilities and property as an important part of our vibrant ministry
Accomplishments in 2019:
Advertisement
• Painted the exterior of the Christian Life Center • Completed replacing half the windows in the Administration
Building • Completed the replacement of the carpet on the third floor of the Christian Education Building • Painted the classrooms of the third floor of the Christian
Education Building • Replaced a HVAC unit for the corridor of Thompson Hall • Replaced two air handler units and the boiler on the first floor of the Administration Building • Weekly Weeders and the Yard Teams continue to provide excellent assistance with keeping our campus looking good. Property Committee has also provided additional yard maintenance for rough terrain areas of campus and the pruning of the crepe myrtles on campus • Continued to evaluate and moved towards implementation of new calendaring software which will manage the HVAC and fob system (locking/unlocking) of doors based on each event. The software will also send work orders to maintenance staff regarding setup • Replaced carpet with LVT due to constant flood issues in the basement of the Sanctuary • Assisted EDS and approved the renovations of the younger playground • Approved the purchase of blinds for the parlor for weddings • Assisted with the implementation of new safety measures regarding locking down the doors to the
Sanctuary during services • Installed handicap access doors for the CLC
Goals for 2020:
• Establish a property wide preventive maintenance program • Ensure a smooth transition for Bob Sturm’s replacement • Further refine the safety policies • Research and implement a plan to repair the roofs • Begin developing a plan for the replacement of the HVAC equipment on campus • Paint the exterior of Thompson Hall • Replace the carpet on the second floor of the Christian Education Building • Paint the classrooms on the second floor of the Christian Education Building • Begin developing a plan for the replacement of second half of the windows in the Administration
Building • Replace the sliding glass doors of Thompson Hall and on the hallway of Thompson Building • Installation of handicapped doors around campus • Complete the EDS playground upgrade • Work with Finance Committee regarding a reserve fund for Property repairs • Work on restriping & resurfacing the parking lots on campus. This initiative will require funding currently not budgeted
