Congregational Care and Concern
Mission: To serve in the name of Christ because of His love for us and His church, and to show God’s love and concern for members of the church by providing visitation, encouragement and support.

Accomplishments in 2019:
• Funds were allocated for automatic doors to help with handicapped entrance. The two
Thompson Hall Doors, one in the breezeway and the other at the CLC parking lot and the
Longleaf entrance will be automated with those same funds • The policy for Disaster Response and plan of recovery for natural disasters was completed • Care Team leaders have been selected and we have held a training session this Fall • We added nine members to lovebearers to write notes to shut ins
Goals for 2020:
• Help the congregation be more willing to accept Stephen Ministers in times of crisis by educating the congregation more with the use of brochures, articles, and devotions • Make congregational care ministry information available to the congregation through the use of brochures, Eastminster Today magazine, ENews, slides, and Daily Devotions
