The Voyager

Welcome to the account of The Voyager! In the past, our fierce staff has worked to produce a 16-page monthly newspaper. These publications included intriguing and detailed stories, falling mainly under genres such as opinion and features. As a counterpart to the print publication, the online version of The Voyager similarly reflects the talent of our reporters with a heavier focus on news. While our online intent for the 2022-2023 school year remains the same, our staff is excited to present our upcoming print plans… Introducing The Voyager: magazine edition! The Voyager: magazine edition is a 28-page full-color booklet that will be produced two times a year. Our magazine will be filled with opinion editorials, student artwork, feature articles, creative writing, interactive games, and more. In addition to these issues, we plan to produce two to three 12-page full-color editions that will highlight a particular topic (i.e. our Black History Month Edition). These specialized editions will provide the opportunity to heavily focus on subjects of grave importance! Our decision to convert the newspaper to a magazine is inspired by the idea of appealing to the visual eye of our blossoming generation. We hope to capitalize on the idea that a picture can tell a thousand words. The world of journalism is evolving, and as young, aspiring writers, we must evolve with it!
