The School of Nursing Clinical Skills Laboratory and Simulation Center offers nursing students a safe place to practice reallife patient care scenarios, and encourages collaboration and self-reflection. The team guides students with questions and prompt feedback, aiming to enhance present and future patient care. EKU’s Recreation Therapy Program introduces students to several therapeutic methods, preparing graduates for careers in various settings like hospitals, schools, parks and wilderness therapy.

EKU’s Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy labs offer hands-on experiences for students, where they can practice techniques they’ve learned in the classroom. The Occupational Therapy program includes a variety of fieldwork opportunities in clinical settings and focuses on practices varying from children’s therapy to treating neurological concerns. EKU also has the Medical Laboratory, which prepares graduates to analyze body fluids and tissues for diagnosis, leading to job opportunities in healthcare settings or advanced education.
