Tuesday August 25th, 2015 Pep Rally and Game To “kick off” the upcoming football season, the high school decided to have a Pep Rally. Our football team looked great, and our cheerleaders did an outstanding job. The band sounded amazing, playing our National Anthem, Alma Mater, and Fight Song. They also played many favorites from the radio, such as Bruno Mars’s “Uptown Funk”, the Hey Song, and Jason Derulo’s “Trumpets”. That same night, we had the last game against Danville. We took the Judge’s Cup 42 to 0. The team dominated and promises another great season. The Band’s half-time show gave us a great sneak at their new show “Paranormal”. This show seems to consist of creepy themes, and has excellent potential. Friday games start Sept. 11, giving us something to unite to once. We will join as a team, and we will dominate.

Our Beloved Principal and Her Opinions on the Start of this New Year The school year has started and Reporter for Dardanelle High School Newspaper, Dustin Jones and Writer want to know, how did this school year start. We interviewed our greatly esteemed principal to see what she thought on the matter. “We had a pretty smooth start!” says Marcia Lawrence, “I hope we duplicate last years scores, I’m so proud of our student body! They have exceeded my expectations.” We then asked her what she thought could help the students she had one reply, “Study more. Everyone studies in different ways , so learn that way so everything will be easier at Dardanelle High School and for the rest of your high School career.” Mrs. Lawrence seemed very happy and satisfied with her students, and she should be. Every year our hard working students make scores that are best in the state.

New Species in Human Lineage Found in South Africa “In Magaluesburg, South Africa a new breed of the human family was found. In 2013, two scientists found many bones in the walls of a cave. 1,500 to be exact! They noticed the bones looked similar to a humans, and took them back to the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. There they found these bones were those of an unknown species!
