Dear resident,
On the behalf of East 52 Volunteer Fire Department, we would like to express our appreciation for the continued support from our community over the years. The attached newsletter outlines recent fire department activities.
We strive to provide the best service possible to our community, utilizing our resources at the fullest extent. We pride ourselves in our members, who are 100% volunteer. We are a 501(c)(3) charity, and receive $2,500 funding yearly from our local government. The remainder of our operating expenses must be raised through fundraisers, donations, and grants. If it is within your means, we are asking for a donation to aid us in our operating expenses. Donations can be sent to:

East 52 VFD 2024 Newsletter
We are celebrating 20 years since we became a department! See the backside of this newsletter, which highlights the great efforts our founding members took part in to make the vision come to light.
Newly Acquired Fire Boat
We are pleased to announce after many months of planning and fundraising, East 52 VFD replaced our aging open-bow fire boat with a retired TWRA boat - a Triton with a 150 Pro XS engine. The upgraded boat is easier for our members to operate and is much more reliable.

Lease Update
In late 2023, we received an eviction letter from our landlord. Since then, we have had several discussions between us and our lawyer and the landlord’s lawyer. The latest update from our landlord is that they are no longer pursuing litigation. We do not have this in writing, but we are hoping this remains the case. We will keep you, the community (the owners of the building) informed if anything changes.
