Married to Janet, with a son, Lance, and a daughter, Tara. I also have stepsons, Dan and Michael, and two grandchildren.

Mayor, Green Hills Borough in Washington County, PA, (seven 4-year terms). I am also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Can you name two of your favorite golf courses that you've played, and what makes them unique to you?
Laurel Valley Golf Club for its beauty, and Lone Pine Country Club, for its great people.
What initially drew you to the game of Golf, and how did you get started?
Caddying at Victory Hills in Elizabeth, PA, from ages 10 to 14 (riding carts not invented yet). At 14, I moved into the pro shop.

If you could play one round of golf with any three people (alive or deceased), who would you choose to play with? My son Lance, Ed Rack & Lew Worsham. Mr. Rack & Mr. Worsham are both Tri-State PGA Hall of Famers & my mentors.

Asst. Pro., Victory Hills, & Coral Ridge, Ft. Lauderdale.
Head Professional, Lone Pine, 1975 - 1987. Director of Golf, The Reserve, Port St. Lucie, FL., 19871990.
Head Professional, Lone Pine, 1991- 2012. Now PGA Emeritus 2013 to present at Lone Pine.
How long have you been a PGA member, and what made you decide to pursue a career in the PGA of America?
55 yrs. Elected, January 1970. Loved the game & the people around golf.
Talk about being a PGA of America member, what it means, and having the PGA badge after your name. It creates one great respect. It opened all the doors for me. In the business, it's a must.

What wisdom can you offer about golf careers and the importance of becoming a PGA member/achieving membership status?
My greatest advice to the young professionals is "be a good listener"! Especially in the private club atmosphere.

Served as a Tri-State PGA board member for many years. Tournament Chairman, two, 3-year terms (tough job then, no social media!)
