OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Donna Walton Gospel Media Ministry Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit Organization of Virtual Media Networks that is composed of DWGN TV Network, DWGN Radio, ENewsletters/Magazine, Indie Artists Marketing and Promoting, and Event Booking Agency. The purpose of this ministry is to provide and promote Indie Artists from music to film producers to get their Artistry heard and seen by the world from a broader platform. The Award-Winning Donna Walton Gospel Network is a recipient of the 2020 Media Outlet of the Year Kingdom Image Award, a recipient of the 2020 S & M Indie Artist Awards Best Internet Radio Show of the Year for The Donna Walton Gospel Radio Show, and a recipient of the 2020 Women Refuge Hall of Fame, Cincinnati, OH, Chapter.

The Third paragraph of the original Articles of Incorporation as filed on July 31, 2020 is hereby amended to read as follows: The Organization is a nonprofit corporation that shall be organized and operated exclusively for charitable and religious purposes and other programs and projects as are described in §§ 170(c)(2)(B), 501(c)(3), 2055(a)(2), and 2522(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), or corresponding provisions of any subsequent federal tax laws. The Organization principally exists to (a) serve as a ministry that helps gospel artists get their music out on broad platforms; (b) solicit and receive funds for the accomplishment of the above purposes; and (c) pursue any other purpose permitted to be pursued by a charity (or, by a private foundation should this organization ever become a private foundation), as that term is defined in 26 USC §§ 501(a) and (c)(3) and associated regulations, as each may from time to time be amended.

Donna Walton grew up in Lexington, MS where she begins singing in the family’s Gospel group with her mother and sisters at the early age of 5 years old. They would sing in several churches in Holmes Counties and surrounding areas. Music has always been an intricate part of her life and those musical experiences from her childhood have influenced her music business decisions.

Donna Walton is a Gospel Artist, Producer, Radio Show Host, TV Show Host, Editor, Indie Gospel Promoter, Booking Agent, and CEO of Donna Walton Gospel Media Ministry, Inc. The Donna Walton Gospel Network is a 501c3 nonprofit organization composed of The Donna Walton Gospel Radio (DWGN Radio), and TV Network, Newsletter, Magazine, Marketing, Promotional Services, and Booking Services.

She officially founded The Donna Walton Gospel Network on July 30, 2020, because She wanted to help other talented independent artists have their music heard beyond the confines of their local church circuits and communities. TONY D. KELLY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

At age eight I started piano lessons, but I only studied for a year; just long enough to understand how to read music. My music teacher figured out I played by ear very well and did not want to waste my parents’ money, so the classes ended. By the age of nine I was now playing for the senior and junior choirs at church. Cutting my musical chops, learning the trumpet in the school band; becoming section leader, was a position I would hold through graduating high school. In the midst of all that, I became the youngest Minister of Music for The First-Born Church of The Living God INC. NORTH CAROLINA DISTRICT. After all that I began playing trumpet for a “Funk Band,” winning numerous awards for my trumpet playing. After High School, I joined The United States Marines, where I attended the Armed Forces School of Music. After serving my country and attending Fayetteville State University, I became a member of the band Mellow Madness, and I caught the bug for recording. Coming into the understanding of Jesus Christ, playing for several churches in North Carolina and New Jersey as Minister of Music, writing Praise and Worship music, I just wrote whatever God was telling me to put on paper! The Donna Walton Gospel Network saw the God in me and heard Him speak through my music. Now I host “OnThe Jazz Tip,” “The 5 O’clock Word and Song” and I serve as THE DWGN RADIO GENERAL MANAGER; also I am THE EXECUTIVE MANAGER OF THE INDIE RADIO COALITION. “GOD” is good, I love what I do, so Thank You Father for putting Donna Walton in my life, I AM GRATEFUL!

THE MUSIC

My musical journey has given me a wide range of opportunitiesand has given birth to additionalaspirationsand gifts from God, beyond what I could have ever imagined! At a very young age my inherentlove for music became evident. My mom smiles as she recountsmemories of me as a toddler, beatingon pots and pans in rhythm to specific songs, as if I was a drummerin training.

Duringmy elementary school years, I remember being completely fascinatedwith the piano! I foundthe sound of the piano as well as the appearance itself to be very intriguing! At the ripe age of 10, I developedan interestin poetry and begin to write my thoughts and feelings because it seemed the only adequateway that I could express myself. Just prior to high school I began to play the guitar, followed by the drums,keys and finally the bass guitar, one of my greatestpassions! Melodiesand lyrics that came to naturallybegan to accompany the music that Ime played.

My Life is a Love Song

Music is an expression of who I am, and for me, life has been a never-ending love song about Jesus and me. At times I've triumphed, at times I've failed; I've been wronged by others and been a perpetrator of sins. In my humanity there is much I wish I could change, but to what end? God has revealed Himself to me through the ups, and the downs, through the triumphs and the frowns... He is in love with me. Many of the lyrics I have written are a reflection of the reassuring Word God wrote in my heart to "grow me through", and toward a new season. I am truly relational in my being and pray that others can see the JESUS in me and want what JESUS has. That through my relationship, they desire and grow in their relationship with Christ.
