Definition - Purpose Announcement text is a written or spoken notification addressed to the general public / specific group that contains the information or message notification. Announcement text has a function to convey certain information to the public.
Types There are many types of announcement text, depending on what you want to announce to the public. The examples are, business announcements, school agendas, school event announcements, graduation announcements, birth announcements, company announcements, marriage and wedding announcements, and many more.
GenericStructure When writing announcement text, there are some generic structures for our writing to be true. The arrangement is: Opening Stating Purpose: Title or type of events will be held. Content Stating day and date and time of the event will be held. Stating place of where the event will be held. Stating the event will be held. Closing Stating the sender; the text that contains name of the person who will be contacted.
LanguageFeatures Furthermore, there are some language features which make this announcement text different from other kinds of text. Using simple present tense and simple future tense, e.g: a.
