Minor Injury Unit services extended
Ingrida Maciokaite's life was tragically taken away from her last week and now her former neighbours from St Nicholas Avenue have come together to try and raise money to pay for her funeral. Ingrida and her two young children lived in St Nicholas Avenue for just over a year and they were very popular members of the close-knit community. Ingrida was an active member of the community and took part in the annual spring clean on the Avenue while she lived on the estate. The residents of St Nicholas Avenue were deeply saddened by Ingrida’s death and a number have them have come together to try and raise Continued On Page 2

From this week children aged five and over can be treated in the Dundalk Injury Unit in the Louth Hospital. Prior to Monday no child under 14 could be treated in the Minor Injuries Unit and according to Deputy Peter Fitzpatrick this new facility ensures some much-needed progress for Louth Hospital.
