Urban Innovation with Minecraft (7-14 yrs) Design, create, and make your very own city come alive using Minecraft! In this camp, kids will explore a variety of themes centered around scientific, sustainable, innovative, and futuristic city planning and design. Kids will immerse themselves in Minecraft while applying the Engineering for Kids design process to create a model of their very own, futuristic, sustainable city. On the last day, students will learn how to pitch their ideas and launch their designs to a larger audience to participate in an EFK global design competition! Education Byte Camp - 3D Animation (11-14 yrs) Dreaming of a career with PIXAR? Ever wonder how those awesome 3D animated movies like are made? Spend the week learning how by modeling, animating and telling your own stories in 3D. You’ll use Blender, a wonderful (& free!) 3D software, to design characters that jump off the screen and then make them come alive by adding voices, soundtracks and completing your own animated short film. Fitness Centre Open Mondays to Saturdays - Welcome Back. We Missed You! The capacity of the Fitness Centre has been lowered and cleaning standards enhanced, to provide all participants with safe and clean environment. While the layout of the Fitness Centre is updated to allow for physical distancing requirements, you will still be able to select from a great variety of exercise equipment. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of your reserved session fully dressed for your workout and please remember to keep a 2.5 metre distance from others at all times. We hope you enjoy your visit. • One hour sessions can be pre-booked 3 days in advance and closes 30 minutes before the session starts. • Flexiplasses & 10 visit passes are accepted for online registration. • Personal, Semi and Group Training are available for registration: vancouver.ca/parks-recreation-culture/personal-training.aspx • Happy Hearts Maintenance: Staff are working on details for virtual classes to be held Dunbar. Please call the Community Centres for more information. • Cycle Classes, Fitness Centre Consultations and Weight Training for Older Adults and Teens are currently on hold. • Squash courts, sauna, hot tub, change rooms, showers, and lockers are not available. • Times and fees are subject to change. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY • • • • • • • • • •

All participants, instructors and staff who have symptoms of COVID-19 OR traveled outside Canada in the last 14 days OR were identified by Public Health as a close contact of a confirmed case must stay home and self-isolate. Check-in will begin 5 minutes prior to start time. Please check-in with the staff at the front entrance of the building & be ready to begin your program. Shared equipment will not be available but you are welcome to bring your own (check receipt notes for equipment requirement). Please follow physical distancing practice and maintain minimum 2 metres between yourself and others at all times. Please bring your own pre-filled water bottle and dress accordingly. Changing rooms will not be available. The building will not be open for loitering. You will be asked to leave the building once your program has ended. Anyone not following safety guidelines or directions from staff will be asked to leave. Masks are mandatory in the facility at all times for those over the age of 12 yrs. If a participant, instructor or staff member is unsure if they should self-isolate, they should be directed to use the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool, contact 8-1-1 or the local public health unit. REFUND POLICY • • • • • • •

At Dunbar we aim to run all scheduled programs, but sometimes we need to change or cancel on short notice. If this happens, we do our best to notify all attendees, and we will provide refunds for the cancelled classes. When possible, we will also run make-up classes at the end of a session. We encourage everyone to register early to avoid cancellations or changes due to insufficient registration. All programs refunds are subjected to a $10 administrative fee. Multi Date Programs - Pro-rated refund will be issued 48 hours prior to the 2nd class (minus administrative fee). Court Rentals Program - Refund will be issued 48 hours prior to program date (minus administrative fee). Programs cancelled or changed by Dunbar CC - Full refund for applicable class(es) (no administrative fee). Some programs may have different cancellation policies. These will be noted in the course description.
