IGCSE - Years 10 and 11 (Grades 9 and 10)
Students take up to 10 individual examination subjects in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) course. It is common for our students to study an accelerated mathematics and/or Chinese programme within the IGCSE. Students on an accelerated programme for mathematics receive an IGCSE Mathematics grade in Year 10 and IGCSE grade for Additional Mathematics in Year 11. Those on an accelerated Chinese programme receive a grade for Mandarin as a Foreign Language in Year 10 and a grade for Mandarin as a Second Language in Year 11. All our students take IGCSE Coordinated Science. They study physics, chemistry and biology as separate subjects and are awarded one IGCSE grade (equivalent to two subjects). IGCSE grades are on a scale of A* to G for Cambridge subjects and 9 to 1 for Pearson subjects.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
All EiM schools maintain a 10 Application Limit policy: during a single application cycle, students may apply to a total of 10 universities or university systems. This policy maintains the intentionality and quality of our applications and is balanced with extensive support during the research, application and decision-making stages to ensure best fit outcomes.

Our students are encouraged to participate in activities that build team and leadership skills, such as Model United Nations (MUN), Charity Committee, Student Council, Sustainability Club and drama productions. We have a varied sports programme and students compete in conference play with international schools in Asia. Students in Years 7-12 participate in an adventurous journey, or charity project each year as part of our Dulwich Adventure programme, the Duke of Edinburgh International Award. Students in the Senior School work to ensure they are meeting Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) goals throughout their time in Senior School. This prepares them well for the IB Diploma programme.
EiM is a family of world-leading educational institutions including Dulwich College International, Dulwich International High Schools, Dehong®, Green School International and Hochalpines Institut Ftan AG, enrolling 11,000 students and graduating more than 600 students per year. DISCIPLINE POLICY
We do not rank our students or calculate grade point averages. For the duration of course work, student progress is continuously assessed. DCSL reports triannually using pre-established, standardsbased performance levels. Years 10 and 12 conclude with internally assessed exams while Years 11 and 13 conclude with externally assessed examinations.
DCSL reports all out-of-school suspensions and exclusions that occur as a result of disciplinary incidents that raise significant concerns about a student’s academic integrity or has a significant impact on the wellbeing of the student or others within the community.
