Pearl’s Garden Book Launch with Carolyn Olson

Join us at the Main Library to celebrate the release of Pearl’s Garden, by local artist Carolyn Olson! Carolyn will read her new book in a special storytime geared to kids ages PreK to grade 3 and their caregivers.

Duluth Community Garden Program will also share a fun seed activity, along with information on how to get involved with local community gardening opportunities. Copies of Pearl’s Garden will be available for purchase. Although activities are geared to kids and their caregivers, gardeners and picture book enthusiasts of all ages are welcome! No registration needed.

For kids birth-preK and their care providers!  Join us for a funfilled morning to meet other “FFN” care providers to play and learn with the kids in your care. March’s session will include info from Help Me Grow MN, a state org offering resources on early childhood development, behaviors and emotions, and early childhood screenings. No registration needed.

Do you love to build? DPL hosts a monthly two-part series just for builders! LEGO® Club is all in the name and all about LEGO®. For Builders Club, we will expand building materials to include blocks, tiles, and recyclables. Try each session’s building challenge or freebuild and let your imagination guide you. No registration. STEM for Kids Series: Optical Illusions • Grades 2-5

STEM for Kids is a hands-on series focused on learning through discovery and play. This month, we’ll set our sights on optical illusions and conduct various experiments to understand the basics of animated illusions, light reflection, and light refraction. Registration is required. Paint Your Pet: Pop Art Style • Grade 6-12
