“I have a dream…”

Why did he become a FUC (FU Cóc)? After school, he took an entrance exam into HUT like many students who are fond of technologies because HUT has been the most wellknown for IT education in Vietnam so far. And Long entered HUT with high scores (27.5). However, Long was partly bored at theoretical lectures. Meanwhile the University for Coc (FU) with “Dream of Innovation” was founded and Long is one of its first students. He wanted to find experience and to create himself in dynamic & open environment. He doesn’t want to be trained in the “Old Trace”. But it is a half truth. The rest seems to be more interesting. Unlike his appearance, He has a questioning heart. He liked two girls; both of them are very pretty: one from HUT (Hanoi University of Technology) and another from FTU (Foreign Trade University). The HUT girl abandoned him so decided to wear shortcut hair and moved to FU as FUC. Every day, he still grinds his teeth with screeching noise to wonder why the blue sky is unfair: Khẹc khẹc. On the other hand, He hadn’t known how to behave well to satisfy both girls, so he decided to go somewhere to hide away all his complexity. And FU becomes his
destination. Fortunately, Long is now showered with work and activities. His active life moves him away from sad memories of his love. And now, Long partly makes his dream come true. He is the monitor of SE01010, a leader to organize and run all activities in his class. Long also founded Programming Clubs to support friends who have difficulty studying the subject during the third semester. He is a founder and developer of his Volunteer Team. He hopes to do more and more for the community and society. At weekends he is never at home, once he joined a campaign against HIV/AIDS in Cam Pha, Quang Ninh and/or he participated in giving Mid-Autumn presents for disabled children in Ba Vi, Ha Tay. He has also planned to visit people who are affected by Orange Poison in Thai Binh . He always helps new Cóc to promote relations and share experiences during monitor’s meeting. For example, he made a chance for someone specially excellent like Tuan Linh (SE0209) to get himself in all activities and develop his talent. In quite a lot of work, Long never forgets his own dream. He wishes he would go abroad one day. He wants to travel around the world , to developed countries in the Western Europe to learn how they do and apply these
experiences in developing IT for national industries. Long says Vietnam is only making outsourcing programs. Youth still brings up the desire that someday they will perform well known software that is made in Vietnam. Perhaps it is a dream of the whole FUCoc’s family that is striving and helping us pass difficulties to achieve the goals. The first time I went to school, two 3rd intake girls seemed very strange. They saw the title “Congratulations to Gold Cóc Dương Thanh Long..”on the announcement board. They became curious. They wanted to know who Long DT was. At that moment of their arguing, LongDT passed, then they ran to ask him who he was. Even with such a state of things, Long DT is the same as he used to be. He tries his best to do many things for people. But exploring information about him is very difficult because there is no blog, no wind slashing in forums, no spam mail for anyone and no talk about himself. He is always simple and meaningful.
