DTLA SUMMER CAMP
Summer Fun in the City
Spanning three weeks in July, the DTLA Alliance launched DTLA Summer Camp, giving office employees a chance to enjoy friendly competitions and camp activities with their work BFFs at iconic Downtown locations. Over 600 participants joined daytime and evening activities, ranging from archery, basketball free throws, a bocce tournament, cornhole, trivia, crafts, an urban art walk, and happy hour gatherings. Events were hosted in partnership with local venues at Bank of America Plaza, City National 2CAL, Grand Central Market, the Omni Hotel, Spire 73, and the Jonathan Club, with support from neighborhood businesses. The momentum continued beyond the games through the “Office Outpost” wrap-up newsletter each week, which kept participants connected and showcased highlights and photos from the program. The event series concluded with a grand prize drawing, awarding a team happy hour at the Sheraton Grand valued at $2,500.

DOG DAY OF SUMMER
The 17th Annual Dog Day returned Friday, September 12th, with a “Yappy Hour” at Settecento in Maguire Gardens. More than 800 attendees and their four-legged friends enjoyed pup photo ops, petfriendly vendors, live music, community walks, caricatures, and an evening of fun. This long-standing tradition celebrates Downtown’s dog-friendly culture and remains one of the DTLA Alliance’s most beloved summer events, bringing together residents, workers, and visitors in the heart of the City.

TREE TRIMMING
DTLA Alliance continued our annual tree maintenance program in Q3, trimming over 70 trees throughout the District. This regular upkeep prevents overgrown foliage from blocking streetlights, obstructing business signage, and infringing on storefronts. The effort keeps the neighborhood well-lit and beautiful, contributing to the health and longevity of our urban greenery.
REACHING SAFE & CLEAN
In addition to using our Safe & Clean app or our 24-hour hotline, service requests can now be submitted directly through our website to access services in the Downtown Center district. This new option provides our community with a quick way to report graffiti, trash, or safety concerns; request a safety escort; or connect unhoused individuals with outreach services.
