Moreton Bay’s economy reflects its diverse landscape, with various specialised precincts across the region: • Industrial areas are mainly focused along the Bruce Highway including Brendale, North Lakes,
Narangba, Burpengary and Elimbah East and in specific precincts in Clontarf, The Hills District, and Caboolture. • Tourism activities are associated with Redcliffe, the peninsula and Bribie Island, as well as the hinterland villages of Samford, Dayboro and Woodford. National parks frame the region, including D’Aguilar National Park, Bribie Island National Park and Moreton Island National Park. • Food and agribusiness is a priority industry and occupies much of the region’s northern section, including Wamuran, Elimbah, Caboolture, Burpengary and the pristine coastal waters of our bay for fresh seafood. • Residential neighbourhoods provide affordable living in Moreton Bay’s south which is rapidly growing across the breadth of the region.

The Bruce Highway provides direct access to Brisbane Airport (BNE) in a 20 minute drive and Port of Brisbane in a 30 minute drive, plus access to Brisbane’s CBD in under half an hour via Queensland Rail.
Its close proximity to the State’s capital, Brisbane, provides all the infrastructure, services, employment and business opportunities of a major Australian capital city. The Bruce Highway offers easy access to domestic markets, with a significant consumer and workforce population of 479,639 local residents and 3,625,230 residents within a two hour drive.2
