Continuing Professional Development will keep you right up-to-date and on top of your game. You will therefore find many activities and events that we organise throughout the year award CPD hours and the CICM CPD scheme will help you recognise your achievements, identify areas for development and measure your success.

The Chartered Institute of Credit Management has awarded qualifications since 1949 and is the only organisation to be directly recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) to design, deliver and award qualifications in credit management and related areas.

What can I study? CICM offers five areas of study: • Credit Management • Money and Debt Advice • Debt Collection • High Court Enforcement • Taking Control of Goods Key levels of achievement are CICM Certificates and Diplomas, including the prestigious Level Five Diplomas. Also, at certain levels, you will have the flexibility to study ‘vocational’ skills-related units, rather than the traditional ‘knowledge-based’ path, if that suits your learning style better.

In-company training - improve the performance of your entire team If you are a manager or team leader, our in-company programmes are the most cost-effective way to upskill and motivate your credit and collections teams. Our inspirational trainers are experts in their field and can tailor all our standard programmes to your individual requirements. All courses are fully supported with pre-course assessment, post-course action planning, course evaluation, course notes, slides and follow-up six weeks later. One-to-one coaching and post training coaching sessions are also available.

There are two options for assessment:

CICMQ CICMQ accreditation is awarded to organisations that are able to demonstrate commitment to quality, continuous improvement and best practice in all things credit. Applicable to all types and sizes of organisation.

• Standard assessment • Workshop approach Assessments are run by our highly qualified, experienced CICMQ Assessors who will guide and support you and your team throughout the accreditation process. In many cases other CICMQ accredited organisations will also assist, sharing their knowledge and experience.

Once accredited, you will gain an award with certificate, a comprehensive consultation report highlighting areas of best practice as well as recommendations for improvement. You can use the CICMQ logo on your website and literature and you will be invited to join the best practice network, gain access to the best practice library, and receive invitations to best practice events.

Centre of Excellence the ultimate accolade

To apply to become an CICM Centre of Excellence an organisation must: • Commit to, and demonstrate, promotion and adoption of best practice in credit management and collections • Establish a ‘Learning partnership’ with the CICM or be a Corporate Member • Achieve and maintain CICMQ accreditation • Promote the CICM within their organisation
