The 2025 Roma Droughtmaster Bull Sale once again reinforced the breed’s strength across both stud and commercial markets. Over two days of selling, 81 bulls changed hands to achieve a gross of $836,500, an average of $10,327, and a clearance rate of 75 percent. The sale reached a new record top price of $50,000, the highest in the event’s 37-year history, demonstrating the continued confidence in Droughtmaster genetics.
Commercial demand remained a key feature, with 80 percent of bulls sold to non-members and strong representation from repeat and firsttime buyers alike. Online engagement was also a highlight, with 24 registered online bidders, 327 viewers, and $136,000 in total sales transacted digitally.
These results confirm the Roma Sale’s position as a cornerstone event for Droughtmaster producers, showcasing the breed’s adaptability and market relevance. Droughtmaster Australia extends its sincere thanks to all vendors, buyers, agents and sponsors for their valued support and contribution to another successful sale.
