his new exhibition is dedicated to preserving the memory of Ireland’s most famous movie star. It showcases her personal memorabilia including the iconic grey tweed jacket from ‘The Quiet Man’ & her Oscar. Her husband, famed aviator Charles Blair, flew flying boats into Foynes from 1942 to 1945 and Maureen officially opened the Flying Boat Museum at Foynes on the 8th July 1989.
