Burren he Burren National Park is 15km 2 (1500 hectares) in size and is located in the south-eastern corner of the Burren upland region which extends over 360km 2. It was established in 1991 and is Ireland’s fi fth and smallest National Park. The Park lands are owned by the State and managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service. There are seven way-marked walking trails in the Park that take you through many different fascinating and beautiful habitats, such as species rich limestone grasslands, hazel/ash woodlands and limestone pavements.
