With 46 years passing since the last was struck, it’s no surprise that Elizabeth II predecimal silver coins are difficult to locate in higher grade – especially shillings and florins. A great opportunity to secure an example of EVERY Elizabeth II shilling and florin, these

Struck at the Calais Mint in France during the reign of Henry VI (1422-61, 147071), these Silver Groats were part the 324-coin Brackley Hoard unearthed in Northamptonshire in 2005. Buried in the 1460s during the War of the Roses – the dynastic wars between the houses of York and Lancaster – these authentic medieval hammered silver coins are in excellent F-VF.
