This past month, some of our team members had the amazing opportunity to attend the Trade and Supplier Lean Day at the Masonic Centre of Elgin. It was an inspiring event focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in building practices. We believe in working smarter and building better, and connecting with our trusted trade partners on lean practices is just one more way we’re raising the bar in homebuilding.
We also had a fantastic weekend at the St. Thomas Home Show! It was wonderful to meet so many new faces and reconnect with familiar ones. Throughout the weekend, we had the chance to talk about all the exciting projects underway, share sneak peeks of what’s coming next, and explain what truly sets a Doug Tarry Home apart—superior craftsmanship, energy efficiency, and a commitment to building a better future.

When Doug Tarry Homes is designing their homes, they make sure to design the roofs in a way to fit enough solar panels to meet Net Zero Home requirements.
This includes large roofs with enough surface to make sure the solar panels can collect as much sunlight as possible and leaving space in the mechanical room for the required mechanical equipment for solar panels.
All three of our model homes in Eagles Ridge, Millers Pond and Harvest Run have had solar panels added to them.
Solar panels can be added to any of our single family homes, either as part of the upgrade to Net Zero home or adding them separately.
