The Acting District Commissioner of the Pixley Ka Seme District, Brigadier Nomana Adonis, commended theoperationalmembersacross the Pixley Ka Seme District for their relentless efforts in curbing crimes throughout the district Several suspects are expected to appear in various courts across the Pixley Ka Seme District on numerous counts rangingfrom stock theft, dealing indrugs, and dealingin illicit cigarettes. The suspects were apprehended over the weekend following intensified police visibility in Douglas, Carnarvon, and Vanwyksvlei

The members of the De Aar Stock Theft and Endangered Species Unit acted tactically following a complaint of stock theft in Vanwyksvlei and put threesuspects behind barsona count of stock theft. During Operation Vhuthu Hawe,

compliance inspections were conducted at several tuckshops in Carnarvon A total of four tuckshops owners were found in possession of contraband cigarettes and were charged with dealing inillicit cigarettes

Six suspects are facing charges of dealing in dagga and drugs following their arrests in Breipal, Douglas. The arrests of the six came after members receivedatipoffregardingdrug dealing activities at two separate residences. The suspects were found in possession of mandrax tablets and dagga weighing 22,2 kg, including cash believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing Fifteen people were arrested and charged with riotous behavioranddrinkinginpublic

World Bone Marrow Donor Day

Inthelastthreedecades, the SA Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) has travelled almost six times to the moon and back to collect blood stem cells from all four corners of the globe for SouthAfricanpatientsin need of a transplant These precious stem cells help rebuild a patient's immune system working as a curefornumerousblood cancers In the lead up to World Marrow Donor Day celebrated on Saturday, 17 September, theSABMRhaslaunched an outof this world campaign, which would see an actual star being

named after a lucky donor once the registry reaches its target of 100 000 donor registrations.JaneWard, Deputy Director of the SABMR says they consider each one of their almost 80 000 existing donors as stars "We are intimately connected with the universe even our bodies are said to have been made of many of the same elements that stars are made of which is why we thoughtit apt to namea star after a donor once we hit the 100 000 mark. The figure is significant as it

symbolises the odds of finding a match Currently,thechancesof finding a tissue match are around 1 in 100 000." INGREDIENTS:

10 chicken drumsticks

5 tablespoons butter

BasicChicken Rub:

2 teaspoons paprika

2 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Easy Baked Chicken Drumsticks

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Preheat oven to400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 4 sided baking sheetwith nonstickspray. Line up drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet.

• Stir all listed seasonings togetherina small mixing bowl. Sprinkle in an even layer over the chicken. Rub onand underneathskin (optional).

• Put a 1/2 tablespoondabbutteron thetop of each drumstick, on thepart thatis most meaty. The butter will melt all over themeat andskin, keeping the meat juicy, and making the skin crispy.

• Bake for 25 30 minutes in the ovenuntil chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
