Had another awesome sleep (this is important info!). I think my mind is at rest knowing I’m definitely going to India- visa permitting! Flights are booked and need to go back to the doctors on Monday to get me some hepatitis A and typhoid! Thinking about my pattern, because its menswear, perhaps a more block like triangle pattern works a bit better. I think this maybe my first ‘happy mistake’! It’s not a perfect shape; it’s a bit more graphic which I think will work better for menswear. This collection is totally not turning out the way I thought it wouldIT’S BETTER!

So we’re back to pattern cutting today. I’m trying to figure out my dressing gown pattern and it’s turning into a bit of a nightmare. This collar is just going in all sorts of crazy directions! Can’t keep it down! Had to get Henry (my mannequin) to assist me today!! It’s reading week so I suppose it’s okay that things are going slowly. I’m about half way through the dressing gown; Juliet has gone to look at Skypark so I am giving up pattern cutting for the day in favour of weaving.
