TEARS HAVE A LANGUAGE ALL THEIR OWN, needing no interpreter.
Tears are a natural response to the deep emotions we experience, whether joy, sorrow, frustration, or relief. They cleanse our hearts and minds, helping us to process and release the burdens we carry. In spiritual traditions around the world, tears have been recognized as a gift from God—a way to cleanse the soul and make space for new growth.
Consider the words, "Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy" (Psalm 126:5). This encapsulates the transformative potential of tears. When we allow ourselves to feel deeply and to express those feelings through tears, we are planting the seeds of future joy and peace.
Embrace Vulnerability
"Only when we know our own darkness, can we relate with the darkness of others." By allowing ourselves to cry, we not only heal but also develop greater empathy and compassion for others. Our tears become a bridge that connects us to the shared human experience of suffering and joy.
Tears as a Path to Freedom
When we suppress our tears, we also suppress the emotions that need to be acknowledged and released. This can lead to a buildup of unresolved feelings that weigh us down and keep us from experiencing true freedom. Crying can be a powerful form of emotional liberation, freeing us from the chains of past traumas and hurts. In moments of prayer and meditation, tears may flow. These tears can be a sign that the spirit is moving within us, breaking down the barriers that we have put around our hearts. As we cry, we let go of what no longer serves us and open ourselves to God’s grace and love.
Conclusion: The Sacred Gift of Tears
Rather than seeing tears as a sign of weakness, choose to view them as a sacred gift— a way to cleanse, heal, and renew our spirits. By embracing tears, we open ourselves to the transformative power of vulnerability, compassion, and spiritual growth. So the next time you feel the urge to cry, don't hold back. Try tears. Allow them to flow freely; knowing that each tear is a step on the path to healing and renewal. See it as an act of surrender whereby you find strength, freedom, and connection to God.
Fern and I have cried many tears over the past 25 years, for ourselves, the broken, and all the children who have never seen the dawn of a day. ‘Try Tears’ is not just an idea, but out of our own walk with the Lord.

The art of being able to reach a heart that's been shattered can so easily go amiss within humanity. This begs the question; How does one reach a heart that's closed off to God and mankind? Here at Hannah House we have the honor of getting to discover what makes a girl come alive, and what opens her heart to trust again. One of the greatest ways is to pay attention to what is important to them. Is it talking? Then listen. Is it art? Draw together. Is it music? Worship. Through gently meeting them where they are at, depths of their heart start to unfold. The pain comes forth and is replaced with healing. The anger and bitterness is transformed into forgiveness and peace. Through one such journey with a precious girl we enjoyed the talent of music she had, and with her permission we shared a song she wrote on the next page from her journey of learning how to trust again.

In the depths of my mind I'm feeling so alone, lost in a sea of thoughts, no place to call home. My emotions running wild, they're taking control. But deep down inside I know there's a greater goal.
I question if God's there, doubts filling my head, the Bible's words elude me, leaving me misled. Searching for my identity, who I want to be. The world's voice grows louder urging me to flee.
My faith feels shattered, like a puzzle undone. But deep in my heart I know the battles not won. I'm standing at a crossroads, seeking truths embrace. Yearning for a connection, to find my rightful place.
Lost in this maze, my minds a battleground. My thoughts and feelings clash, no peace to be found. But hold up, wait, why am I doubting my belief? A Christian at heart, shouldn't confusion be brief?
God didn't hold back when He gave His all for me. So why am I holding back, afraid to fully see? Maybe it's time to dive deep, explore the unknown. Reignite my faith, let my doubts be overthrown.
In the midst of my confusion, I'll seek the truth. Open up my heart, let His light break through. I'll find my way back, rediscover my faith. Embrace who I am, with His love as my base.
I wont fade away, no I won't disappear. Though the world may say "There's no God to hear". I look around, see creations beauty unfold. A testament to a Creator whose story remains untold.
So, I'll keep on searching, and I won't lose hope. For in the journey I'll find strength to cope. No matter how lost I feel, I'll find my way back. Embracing my identity as a Christian, that's a fact.

We are excited to have moved into our new conference room and counseling room in May. The conference room will be used for our women’s and men’s ministry, family counseling, board meetings, etc. I am also enjoying a little more space in my new office. We are indeed grateful to Double Run Brokerage, who gave up their space for us. We are blessed that we can have more room in the same complex where we were ministering previously. We maintain the same location, address, phone number, etc.
We want to thank all those who have financially supported this project! You have been a wonderful blessing to our ministry and to those who have received healing. Your financial support is just as important to those of us who minister to hurting people. Without you, we could not be the hands and feet of Jesus week after week. This past week, a marriage that was separated, is now being restored. The other week, an individual found freedom that they had not experienced before. Again, our heartfelt thank you for your prayers and support!

Have you ever wondered what it would look like to share life’s struggles with a safe person that doesn’t judge but listens? Have you ever longed for a place that cultivates listening and caring for your heart's needs? Have you ever had a close friend that loves you enough to ask you the hard questions and believes it’s possible to walk in moral freedom because he has been released from shame? Our sexuality is not a curse, as long as we realize we’re in a war. Jesus wants us to surrender our sexuality to Him and Satan wants us to believe it’s impossible. Sign up and join us September 2024 at Door of Hope in Ephrata and learn how to be a “Conqueror” by taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor 10:5).

Last September through May, Door of Hope held their first Betrayal and Beyond group for women. Although these groups are held across the country through Pure Desire Ministries, I had a desire for a local group of women who could support each other in a journey of healing from the pain that comes from a spouse's pornography use or other sexual betrayal. Six of us meet three times a month. I felt nervous as we began meeting and sharing our stories. But as we met week after week, we went from strangers to friends, caring deeply for each other. Each week we discussed reading and homework on topics such as the following: What is addiction and how has it affected me? How can God's grace overcome trauma? What are the stages of healing? How do I deal with anger and forgive? How do I set healthy boundaries in my marriage? Although it was my goal to bless other women by leading the group, I was blessed myself above and beyond my expectations to be a part of this group.
