Below are some suggestions on how you can help...
Some ideas: Order items from Amazon, assemble goody bags with 6-8 items in a sandwich or party bag, add signed cards. Make as many as your family, church or bike group can help with! Make financial contributions for postage. Groups are welcome to setup GoFund me pages for postage. Our financial donations have dropped significantly and monetary donations for postage is our greatest need.

We had a fantastic day of energy in our center! 27 students and 3 staff from Opendoor Church summer program joined our team. They brought in donations and filled 525 snack goody bags, and colored over 50 artworks! We discussed the branches of our military, and the missions in many of our areas of service. We even had students and team members break out in songs! It was a great day of service!

Thank you to the Harley Owners Group from Cumberland County for your afternoon of service. We started with lunch at Bum’s Restaurant and Catering -delicious food to fuel our energy! The afternoon was spent sorting school supplies, donated by staff and customers of Dollar Tree in support of Operation Homefront Back to School Brigade.

We would love to have your bike club sponsor an event or come out and volunteer!
Supporting our troops! We always love seeing those smiling faces!
My husband and I participate in a lot of benefit rides to raise money for people or organizations. After one particular ride was done and we were exiting the parking lot to leave for home, we hit a little gravel. As we all know, a little gravel can sometimes cause a big problem. This gravel caused a shift in our traction. The bike began to lean. The lean caused our weight to shift. That shift further increased the cant of the bike.
My husband was having trouble righting the bike because of my dead weight on the back. However, the bike was tilting so far over that I couldn’t get my foot off the peg so I could jump off. This is all happening so fast that I didn’t have time to think if there was another solution. It looked like we were about to kiss the pavement, right in front of the remaining bikers in the parking lot.
However, it was those very bikers that saved us from a tumble. Several of them saw what was happening and came running. They helped hold the bike up while I disentangled myself. Then they helped to right it and checked to make sure the bike was stable and we were okay. It was a little humbling to be sure, but praise God no one — not even the bike — got a scratch. Those bikers were quick in seeing our need and rushing to our aid because they’ve all been there. They’ve all hit a little gravel at one point or another, so they had the experience to know how best to help. They also knew what would happen if they didn’t help.
We’ve all had moments in life like that, too, moments where we started to slip. Life happens (yes, I cleaned that up) and sometimes what comes our way trips us up or knocks us down.
Sometimes we’re so focused on the problem (or our own solution to it) that we fail to reach out for help. Is it a little humbling to need help? Sure, but that’s not a bad thing. However, it becomes a bad thing when we let our pride keep us from accepting that help.
God sent the best help: Jesus. Yes, I know he didn’t ride a bike, but He experienced life here on earth. He knows what it means to be scorned and mocked. He knows what it means to be betrayed and abandoned. He knows what it means to be beaten and humiliated. He knows what it means to be condemned and heartbroken. He knows what it means to be human because He stepped down into humanity to save us.
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Philippians 2:6-8 NLT
He didn’t have to, you know. He could have just left us in our mess. After all, He didn’t make the mess. We did. I did. You did.
I suppose we could have told the bikers who came to help us, “thanks, but no thanks,” but that would have been incredibly foolish. Yet, how many times do we do that when God makes it clear to us that His help is only a prayer away?
Don’t let pride keep you from asking for help.
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!
Psalm 121:1-2
My help comes from the Lord. How about you?
If you’ve never asked the Lord for help, now is the time. Today is the day. Don’t put it off for another minute because frankly, none of us know how many minutes we have left. Can you admit that you haven’t always done what you should — and have done some things you shouldn’t? Welcome to the club. Every one of us falls into that group. Once you acknowledge and admit that, you are one step closer to the One who has all the help you’ll ever need: Jesus. He stepped down from heaven because He knew we couldn’t pay the penalty for the wrong choices we’ve made. BUT, He knew He could, so He set aside His majesty and took on our humanity so He could pay our debt and restore our relationship with God. Do you believe that?
If so, welcome to the family of God. Our Father has been watching for you and waiting for you. Run into His arms and experience life in a way you never imagined.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
Romans 8:1-3 NLT

The All-Star Ride for Life—a motorcycle ride to benefit Duke Children’s Hospital—was founded in 2000 by Stan Simmerson who serves as a registered nurse in Duke University Hospital’s Perioperative Anesthesia and Surgical Screening Clinic.
The idea for the ride came after a moment of compassion and action. As Stan waited to get his lunch in the Duke South food court in 2000, he noticed the line was taking longer than normal. Several people ahead of him in line was a man counting out change to see if he had 54 cents to cover the cost of a burger. He kept coming up short.
Stan offered and then paid for his meal, and the two sat down to eat lunch together. After speaking with him, Stan learned the man was from out of state and had a 3-year-old son in the pediatric bone marrow transplant clinic. His wife was home with their 18-month-old, and the man had lost his job because of all the work he’d missed caring for his child. For a few days, he had been sleeping in his car in the parking deck. Stan immediately called Duke social workers, who got him a hotel voucher and meal vouchers.
As Stan walked away from this moment, he realized, “I had to do more than just show up at Duke each day and do my job. There was more I could do.” Then it occurred to him: he could start a charity motorcycle ride to raise money for the Duke Children’s Hospital.
Stan’s interest in motorcycles began around age 10 when he first zipped around his neighborhood on a mini-bike. Soon after, he got into road racing and in 1994, he won the Amateur National Championship at Daytona International Speedway while in nursing school.
It was only natural to combine his passion for people and riding, which led to the very first All-Star Ride for Life in August 2000.
For the first ride, about 65 riders joined. As time went on, more jumped in, and now close to 150 bikers participate each year. Since it first began, the ride has raised nearly $400,000! The money raised by the ride is given to the Duke Children’s Miracle Network, which then disburses the funds to several programs at Duke that aren’t covered by insurance. Stan noted, “One program is a summer camp Duke holds for seriously ill children, where there is a full staff of doctors and nurses on site to allow kids to forget about shots, medications, and other therapies for a brief period of time and just enjoy being a kid at camp.”
In addition to the funds raised through registering as a rider, the bikers also stop at four different motorcycle dealerships along the way where owners present a check to the Duke Children’s Miracle Network.
The ride ends at the Duke Children’s Hospital where bikers meet and hear stories from families who have a child receiving treatment at Duke Children’s. Stan reflected, “There usually isn’t a dry eye in the house when we leave.”
Stan believes the superpower of the biker community is “how wonderful and willing they are to help out any worthwhile charity.” He affectionately describes bikers as M&M’s, stating, “They’re hard on the outside but sweet on the inside.” This year, the ride will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Saturday, August 23.
If you would like to donate or purchase a $20 All-Star Ride t-shirt whose funds go toward the donation, contact Stan at stanton. simmerson@duke.edu. You can also check out their Facebook page to learn more, see pictures from the event, and reflect on the impact the ride has for children on the road to hope, health, and healing.
Daniel died by suicide in January of 2023, he was 19 years old. His family wants people to know that he was kind and helped everyone that he could. He did not look for recognition. He was an amazing son, brother and father. Daniel loved wheels and was working on getting his motorcycle license as well a novice motorcycle mechanic, with an apprenticeship at a local bike shop, thus Renee (his mom) was inspired to start the Motorcycle Run for Suicide Awareness. This event is the 3rd Annual and will be held at New River HD in Jacksonville, NC. All the funds raised will go to Ricky’s Retreat located in Hubart, NC. It is an organization that helps with mental health and suicide awareness.
For this issue I’d like to talk about one of the best, if not the best motorcycle trips I’ve ever taken. This is a place I’ve encouraged people to visit even if they choose to drive a car or fly out. But a motorcycle is highly recommended, of course! The Icefields Parkway (Alberta’s Hwy 93) spans 144 miles between Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. It’s hard to narrow down fun things to see without taking up the entire magazine, but I’ll try my best! It’s a good problem to have.
The Icefields Parkway makes for a very efficient trip because of how many different points of interest branch off it, which includes many beautiful lakes and national parks. My recommendation would be to stay in a few different locations along the Parkway for a few days each. This will allow you to explore several different areas and get full yield out of the trip. Using Air BnB services worked out great for us.
It was much less expensive than hotels while being more private.
Now for some recommended points of interest! Lake Louise is one of the most popular stops along the Parkway. In fact, if people know you are visiting this area they will probably ask if you visited this location. Close to Louise is Lake Moraine, which is another iconic stop. Both lakes have stunning views. If you catch Lake Moraine at sunset, you might be able to see the mountain crests with a red hue.
My favorite stop along the Icefields Parkway was Peyto Lake. The water was gorgeous and almost looked as if it was glowing.
Honorable mentions go to Bow Lake, Athabasca Falls, and Emerald Lake which is in Yoho National Park. All of this only scratches the surface. Be sure to check out this region at some point in your lifetime!.

It’s always either you have the time, but not the money or the money and not the time. That’s how it’s been lately on my end. It seems every time I try to do one or the other I have the time but zero funds to do it. Then when I get paid, I have to work and then I don’t have the time. Just like my bike, it was down. So I worked some overtime to get the parts I needed, but to do it I had to work. So when folks are like, Yo 2Timer do you want to ride? It’s been naw bro, can’t make it. Bike is down and I got to work some Overtime.
It does get frustrating. But that’s not the end of the story. When you have a family they, too, need upkeep. Dentist visits, speech therapy visits. Oh, my old truck takes a dump. Well, I’ve got to have that up and running because that’s the mule that brings in the pay. Just can’t seem to get both ends tied together here lately.
I’ve made a couple outings. Been to a bike night. Got to ride a bit around town and took a couple of scenic routes from work. I like doing that, by
the way. Just pick a road and ride. As long as I’m going close in the direction I wanna go. I will eventually meet up with a familiar road and finish it on home.
Got a lot going on at the home front, too. Plus, we had a shutdown at work. So, sometimes I feel like my bike is sitting under the shed like that brand new ocean fishing boat people get. At first the excitement is real, you got the big ol’ boat so you are tickled you don’t have to wait for your buddy to have the same day off as you. You’ve got your own boat now, but then summer hits and you either working or it rains on your day off. Then when the weather is perfect!!! There’s a family reunion happening on the next Saturday you have off! It will make you pull your hair out man!!
I guess this is the big boy world, though. Shit just doesn’t line up as you want it, but hey...we are still breathing and time will eventually give us an opening. So when it does, don’t waste it sitting in a bar drinking your liver away. Get on that bike and ride! Fill up that tank on that Grady White and throttle that thing! That’s all we can do sometimes. Jump at the moment and dig our teeth in.
It’s a shame we don’t have more time. That’s what we keep telling these kids on these phones. Put that phone down!!! How are you going to build wonderful memories sitting on your ass behind a screen watching other people live! When I was a kid, sure we had video games. But we didn’t play them unless it was raining outside. Sure, our games are no where as graphic and wild as games are today, but the real world is more graphic then that!
Sure, at first we might have been bored sitting on the porch wondering what to do, but eventually something would happen. Hell, when I was a kid, we got excited over someone cutting up a watermelon! That was awesome shit right there!
Someone like your uncle just walk right up and place a big ol watermelon on the picnic table, pull out this horror movie knife and dig that thing right down the center. That melon would crack apart and we kids would all be salivating with anticipation to get our piece. Then it would turn into spitting watermelon seeds at each other, running around the house. Then someone would grab the water hose and it was game on, son!! See!! That’s really life! Real fun, doing some real stuff! Kids will not understand it unless they are doing it. Throw in some friends or cousins. That’s a real life memory!
That’s what it’s all about. Making real life memories. That’s why it sucks when we finally grow up. We spend our whole lives as kids wanting more and more freedom as an adult but what we don’t realize is we are actually throwing our real freedom away. Taxes! Work! Never enough money! Paying bills, dead lines, the boss up our ass wanting more and more from us! Shit.. freedom?? Where is it?
The world is getting weirder and shit is changing so fast. Volcanos, earthquakes. Everything in the good book is lining up. Best go out and enjoy life before we actually do go home! If you are not a believer, let’s give Jesus one more try. John 3:16 is right there brothers and sisters. Writing in a magazine for me has been one of the best opportunities I’ve had in my life, but if I could save even just one soul then I’ve used my opportunity to do something wonderful and that alone would be w orth it brothers and sisters!! Find God! He isn’t far away. Trust that, and God is patiently waiting.
Well folks, thats what I’ve got this time around. Fall weather is just around the corner and I plan to soak up some of those 70 degree days. I’m actually looking forward to them. Y’all get out and ride and make those memories, like I said. Take a picture, too. Nothing like being able to look back at yesterday while you are presently living today!! Stay between the ditches and catch me in the next episode !!
Blue Knights NCII: Rolling with Purpose, Service, and Brotherhood
The 4th Annual Motor Muscle Excursion On Saturday, September 20th, the rumble of engines will fill the air as riders of motorcycles, cars, trucks, and jeeps gather for the 4th Annual Motor Muscle Excursion (MME) — a charity ride with heart, horsepower, and purpose. Hosted by Blue Knights NC Chapter II in partnership with Whole Vet, this year’s event promises scenic roads, camaraderie, and a shared mission to support those who serve both our communities and our nation.
The Blue Knights is an international nonprofit motorcycle club made up of active and retired law enforcement officers. Known for promoting motorcycle safety, rider education, and charitable giving, they have chapters across the globe — but their NC Chapter II is especially proud of its work supporting first responders and community outreach programs.
Whole Vet, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, focuses on military veterans, offering unique programs such as equine and adventure therapy to help them reintegrate into civilian life. These programs provide not only mental and physical healing but also a strong network of peer support for those who’ve proudly served our nation.
The very first Motor Muscle Excursion was a modest gathering hosted solely by Whole Vet, drawing just a few dedicated participants. When the Blue Knights came aboard for the second ride, that number jumped to about 20 bikes. By the third year, the event exploded in popularity — attracting nearly 100 bikes and vehicles. Now, for year four, organizers are aiming to break records again.
The ride will begin at Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson in Raleigh, where participants will enjoy a free breakfast before registration. From there, a fully escorted ride will wind through scenic roads, culminating at Garden State Grill in Lillington. Once the wheels stop rolling, the fun continues with delicious food, fellowship, and a 50/50 raffle.
• Date: Saturday, September 20th, 2025
• Start: Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson, Raleigh with a free pancake breakfast
• Destination: Garden State Grill, Lillington
• Registration: 8:30–9:45 AM

As football season kicks off across America—Friday nights under the lights, college rivalries heating up, and the NFL charging toward another thrilling year—it’s worth remembering a game that almost never was. Not because it was rained out, not because of bad scheduling, but because history itself intervened.
In the late fall of 1944, the 101st Airborne Division, weary from intense fighting in the Netherlands and Germany, was stationed in Reims, France, for a well-earned rest. Together with the U.S. Army Air Force’s C-47 crews, they planned the Champagne Bowl—a Christmas Day American football game to lift morale and bring a taste of home to the front lines. The teams were set: the Screaming Eagles vs. the Sky Train.
But history had other plans. A sudden and fierce German counterattack in the Ardennes—what we now know as the Battle of the Bulge—pulled these soldiers from the sidelines back into one of the most grueling fights of the Second World War. The Champagne Bowl would forever be remembered as The Game That Never Happened.
Decades later, in 2018, thanks to the vision of Helen Ayer Patton—granddaughter of General George S. Patton, Jr.—and the dedication of the 101st Airborne Museum in Bastogne, the game was reborn as the Remembrance Bowl, played in Normandy during D-Day commemorations. What began as an in-division matchup evolved into a spirited contest between two legendary formations: the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions.
Now, each June in Normandy, paratroopers lace up their cleats, not just to compete, but to honor the memory of those who never made it home, and to celebrate the camaraderie, grit, and spirit that football embodies—values forged on the battlefield and carried onto the field.
As the U.S. gears up for another exciting football season, the Remembrance Bowl reminds us that some games are bigger than sport. They are about remembrance, service, and unity.
We’ve seen fierce competition, unforgettable moments, and a growing tradition that honors the past while celebrating the present. And as we look ahead, one thing is certain— Remembrance Bowl 2026 can’t come soon enough.
Because in Normandy, when the whistle blows, it’s more than a game—it’s history in motion.

Once again I have to give a shout out to Debbie for giving me an abundance of grace when it comes to submitting an article for Behind Barz on time. I’ve been writing for the magazine for a few years now and I think I’ve only submitted 1 maybe 2 articles on time and she has never given me a hard time about being late and has in fact given me much grace by extending the deadline. I’m a firm believer that if you need grace in your life, and we all do, you have to give grace and give it in abundance and Debbie deserves a mountain of it in return for her willingness to extend it to me….
A couple weeks ago some of my friends were riding from Denver to Sturgis when one of my closest friends went down hard. A hard bag had come off a scooter in front of him and he was unable to avoid hitting it at 75mph. He has several broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken collar bone and shoulder blade and severe bruising but very little road rash. He was/is pretty banged up and had to be life flighted back to a trauma center in Loveland Colorado.
From the minute someone put a post about our brother going down people started coming out of the woodwork to visit him in the trauma center and at his home when he was released from the hospital. People brought him food and several of the ladies in the scooter world came and cleaned his house and did his laundry. Those who were unable to visit him at the hospital or his home were calling him to see how he was doing and to let him know he was loved and prayed for.
I rode down to spend a few days to be his gopher and do what I could to do whatever else he needed or wanted done. I tried to stay in the background and watch the interaction between him and the people who came to visit him. I noticed that there was a huge diversity of people that Jeff had for friends. There were
people from virtually every race and color and old and young alike but they all had one thing in common, they all loved scooters and accepted anyone who rides as family, regardless of what brand of scooter they ride.
What I saw transpire through the trial Jeff is in is nothing short of a family in action. Jeff has only been a part of the scooter world for a few years but he has been a great brother and valuable asset to it. I’ve known Jeff for 9+ years and have seen him go above and beyond to help anyone in need, in or outside of the scooter community. He’s organized and participated in many charity events and opens his home to young and old alike and he judges no one.
Bikers have a lousy reputation in society because of a few bad actors and because Hollywood created a stereotype portraying us as a criminal subculture. But what I saw playing out when Jeff, and a thousand others were in a crisis was nothing short of grace and love for a member of the biker family. There were a few people there whose political views are diametrically opposed to Jeff’s but it mattered not, there were bikers who ride virtually every make and model of motorcycle on the market, the religious views or lack thereof was and is irrelevant to everyone who knows Jeff. The only thing anyone cared about was that a brother was in trouble and in need of a lot of help…
I wrote this to encourage my brothers and sisters to take every opportunity to extend the grace and love we have for the brotherhood and to do it out in the open for the world to see. I know very few people who are as full of grace and mercy as my friend Jeff is and I’m convinced that even though he is not a born again believer his love for others and willingness to give grace to anyone is why so many were quick to come alongside of him in his need.
As a believer myself and having been a pastor for a few decades I can unequivocally attest to the fact that the Church (believers) could learn a lot from the biker community that would end several centuries of ridiculous religious division over things like denominational doctrines that are regarded more highly than the souls of the lost. Just as it makes no difference to a biker whether you ride a Harley or a Honda it should make no difference to believers whether you’re Baptist or a Pentecostal…
Whether you are a Christian or an atheist/agnostic you are going to need grace and mercy to get through this life and the only way to receive grace is to freely give it and to give it in abundance….Jeff and the Colorado biker community are proof to me that the principles in my Bible are solid and applicable to anyone willing to live by them whether they are believers or not…
This Tax Free Weekend (Aug 2), we once again partnered up with our good friends over at Backpack Buddies / Help 4 Kids to host our annual Fill the Bus event! Our local community members spent 3 days dropping off school supplies and monetary donations, all of which will go to students in need right here in Horry County! We're very happy to announce that between Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson and The Harley Shop at the Beach, over $1,300 was raised in monetary donations alone! We're so glad that we get to play a role in setting our local students up for success ahead of a new school year, and we greatly appreciate everyone who helped make this possible!
We want to give a huge shoutout to the Axemen MC for coming out in full force and dropping off an incredibly generous donation for our Fill the Bus event!
We greatly appreciate everyone who participated and for helping us give back to this wonderful community that we call home!

Murals have become very popular and they are scattered throughout this great country of ours. You can see them on downtown buildings in cities and rural communities, even on barns along the countryside.
A muralist is an artist who creates large-scale paintings or artworks on walls, ceilings, roads or other permanent surfaces.
A great example is the photo pictured above and to the right on this page!
Check out the facing page for some more examples of amazing murals contestants have found in this great country of ours!
You can also go to the Murals & Motorsickles Facebook page and see many more photos that have been submitted. Deadline to enter was 31 May 25.

We asked for your input for the best Great American Burgers of The South via social media and boy did y’all deliver! We wanted to know where to find the best cheeseburgers in Virginia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina and Tennessee.
Those of us who live in the SOUTH love BBQ and pig pickins but this day celebrates a summer-time grilling favorite, the cheeseburger. Just like pizza, there are millions of ways to top, cook and prepare cheeseburgers and there are so many Great American Burger joints in the South!
We love those lesser known, hole in the wall establishments that are the heart and soul of America! You know...The ones where you can smell the aroma of fresh beef cooking before you walk through the front door.
Where you can feel the greese in the air as you step inside. The ones who are happy to see you come by for a visit and sit a while. They might even sit and visit with you while you place your order. You know the ones!
We couldn’t visit them all or showcase them all here for you because of space limitations but here are a few, in no particular order. Enjoy! 2X means their 2nd year being picked for our Great American Burgers of The South! Please give these establishments a try and let us know what you think.
If you know of any Great American Cheeseburger Restaurants (mom and pop type places) around the South please let us know about them so we can give them a try...especially if they are biker friendly!
Thanks for participating!

My 26th Sturgis Bike Rally. It’s my 2nd home. The Black Hills and Bike Week is a spiritual and carnal experience in a magical unusual place.
Many years ago I road 1,450 miles straight from Ohio to Sturgis SD. I rode all night and all day through many storms that trip, only stopping for gas. 23 straight hours with out sleep! I road into my camp ground, Wild Bills, in the Deadwood mountains beat, weathered, burnt, wind blown, and stiff. I walked straight into Wild Bills little bar and everyone looked at me and said damn you look road beat. Opal, who I never met said, “Get this man a drink right now!” She got me hydrated and showed me great genuine kindness and concern. I don’t forget things like that...I never forgot how well she treated me. So, I hired her and moved her to Ohio and put her in our family guest house. She became part of my company and my family and was great to my kids and grandkids. She lived in our little Amish house in Fredericksburg and also became a staple in that little community while she was there. She now lives back in Sturgis, South Dakota, again. This year when she saw me she gave me the biggest hug! She was such a great employee and a family friend. I was so happy we ran into each other at Sturgis again. I look at her as one of my kids. Opal is a gun target champion and can shoot a quarter off a fence pole. A true South Dakota gal. Just another great person I know because I’ve gone to Sturgis 26 times. God bless you, Opal. Love you like family.

We care about your business... do you?
Overheard a conversation, and heard this observation. There are two things in life to worry about, whether you are healthy or sick.
If you are healthy you don’t have anything to worry about, but if you are sick, you have two things you’ll have to worry about. You are either going to get better or you are going to get worse. If you get better you don’t have anything to worry about, but if you get worse, you’ll have two other things to worry about... wether you are going to live or die. If you live you don’t have anything to worry about. But if you die, you’ll have two things you’ll have to worry about, wether you are going to Heaven or Hell. If you go to heaven you don’t have anything to worry about, but if you go to hell, you’ll have two things you’ll have to worry about, ...Wether you’ll be original or extra crispy.
Sometimes we don’t realize how we worry. Even admitting that your life is in God’s hands, we still worry. In the Book of Hewbrews the author writes that Faith is “ The assurance of things hoped for, and the evidence from the conviction of t hings not seen physically yet.”
Jumping on and releasing the clutch and twisting the throttle not not knowing what to do next, will make you a star on the latest “fail” video.
One of the ways to see yourself succeeding in riding or anything in life is to envision yourself doing it. Let the clutch out to feel the turn of the transmission, twist the throttle to engage. Now pick up your feet as you balance, now stop by reversing this. Start the process all over until you challenge yourself to do it again and now shift up to 2nd gear.
Thats total trust in God’s design of you no matter how it all happens. Let go and hold on to Him holding you, He’ll ever let you totally go.
Think back to when you first tried to ride a motorcycle, remember your desire to learn how. Even worrying about falling, you had Faith to try.
Did someone teach you about testing the clutch and throttle action to keep you from killing the bike or You?
One of two things are going to happen, you are going to absolutely love it or you won’t, and that’s ok. Some twists and turns are not the same for everyone. Adventure out into this life and experience all the twists and turns.
Acknowledge God in it all saying, ”God it’s whatever your plan is for me “. Thats not being selfish, that’s called loving you and the life He has for you.
Jesus tells us two commands: Love God and love yourself so you can love other’s. You are not going to be able to love others if you don’t love The Jesus in you.
Two things you don’t have to worry about now, just love God with all you have and you’ll l love others, because of The God of love is teaching you how to live...And the twists and turns of this life will turn into the ride of your life, enjoy it all!
Let’s Ride... “Jesus Freak” Rodger
“Late in 2024 Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club NC XII (Johnston County) decided it was time to host a fundraising ride and it was agreed that we would support “The Trooper Nolan Sanders Foundation”, honoring a fallen North Carolina State Trooper.
Starting early 2025 monthly planning meetings were held, in addition to our regular monthly business meetings, and slowly things started to come together! Thanks to lots of support from local retailers, money and gifts started to come in!!
On June 28, all those months of planning came together when 76 riders (including several NC BK Chapters AND one from VA), 11 pillions and 5 NCSHP Troopers saddled up and set off from HarleyDavidson in Smithfield, NC. After enjoying many miles of country roads being led by a Mt. Olive PD unit, and escorted by the NCSHP, all arrived safely at the 1st PH Church in Mt. Olive for food and fellowship. Many left with door prizes and a great day was had by all.
At our next monthly meeting held on July 17 we were delighted to be joined by Alexis (wife), Tommy (father) and Angie (mother) of our fallen brother. At this time we presented Alexis with a check for $3,500 for the Trooper Nolan Sanders Foundation.”
