Donna has always loved the water. From her early years in Florida to the Neuse River’s shores as a teenager, she has been drawn to it. Upon making New Bern her forever home, she had a strong desire to build something of value for the future. The small town of New Bern was the perfect outlet for her innovative thinking. She recognized early on that New Bern, with its two lovely rivers, was a perfect place to make the dreams of waterfront living come true for not only herself, but for many others. This led Donna to ultimately f nd what she sought in real estate, and gave her the opportunity to share her love for New Bern’s charm and quality of life with many families.
Donna and her husband, “Captain Bill”, raised their children here. Over the years, they have lived on the water, in town, and in the country. As empty nesters, Donna and Bill down-sized their home, just before Bill’s passing in 2020. In this new season, Donna has once again returned to the waterfront that she loves where she entertains her grandchildren and many dear friends. Donna knows f rsthand the challenges of the changing seasons of life

Finding your dream home
Based on your “must haves” and preferences, your agent will begin searching for active and potential homes that are coming to the market.
Your agent will set you up to receive e-alerts from our website, NewBernNC.com. This will allow you to save homes you are interested in, & will update your agent on your preferences.
While viewing homes remember your top 3 “must haves:”

Making an offer
Once we have found the property of your dreams, we will write a purchase agreement. While much of the agreement is standard, there are a few areas that we can negotiate.
Purchase Price. The Price you o f er on the home of your dreams depends on a variety of factors, including your f nancial plans. Your agent will provide you with up to date market data so you can make an informed decision.
Additional property. Discuss with your agent what you wish to negotiate to be included with the purchase of the property.
T e move-in date . We know once you f nd your home you will be eager to take possession, but if you can be f exible on your move-in date this can appeal to sellers.
Due Diligence - The due diligence fee is a negotiable, fee a buyer may o f er for the negotiated due diligence time period. The due diligence fee is paid directly to the seller.
Earnest Money - A deposit that accompanies an o f er to show the seller good faith. This deposit is held safely in escrow.
*Upon closing both Due Diligence & Earnest money will be accredited back to the buyer.

Stay in touch with your lender. They will update you on any final items needed for closing.
Confirm with your agent your “move-in” date.
Closing day doesn’t always mean “move-in” day. The deed has to record before you take possession of your home.
