Do I believe in luck? I'm not so sure. I don't think I can support a concept that is so random, spontaneous and seemingly without reason. Thomas Jefferson once said, "I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have." Hard work now THAT'S a concept I believe in! I've seen the hard work of teachers and staff that arrive early and stay late. I've seen the hard work of parents that never give up on raising good, strong kids. I've seen the hard work of volunteers that show up, support and serve to make our school better. Why chase imaginary sources of happiness when real life joy is ours right now? Are you looking for something better than luck? Ready to feel the real joy that comes from hard work? There are many opportunities to volunteer this Spring! Track and Field Day, Fun in the Sun, and Fifth Grade Graduation couldn't be successful without you - contact me at kristigundy@gmail.com to sign up now! Leave the luck to the leprechauns, and let's work together to do something really great! Kristi Gunderson

We are sad to say that the Campbell's Labels for Education is coming to an end. Please send in as many labels as you can. There will be a bonus point promotion next month, then a final collection in May. Please ask family, friends and neighbors to help us make the last few months worthwhile. We hope to order lots of playground equipment with our remaining points. Thank you!

No teacher was more thrilled to receive one of the latest Smartboard installations than Mrs. Cartisser’s kindergarten class! We can’t wait to see what fun learning activities they can incorporate into their studies. The Donaldson PTA is able to install Smartboards in classrooms because of generous donations from Donaldson families during our fundraising efforts, THANK YOU!

Donaldson PTA brings CLO performance to Donaldson! The Donaldson PTA was delighted to bring the Pittsburgh CLO to Donaldson students this morning with an awesome performance of The Incredibly Innovative Innovators of Pittsburgh. Bringing history, science and music alive through Pittsburgh’s past, present, and future! They took a musical journey exploring the historical innovators from Pittsburgh over the past 250 years from the launch of the environmental movement and professional football in America, to the invention of the Polio vaccine and banana splits.
