Dogs Australia is the new consumer face of the internationally recognised Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) including Dogs ACT, Dogs NSW, Dogs NT, Dogs Qld, Dogs SA, Dogs Tasmania, Dogs Victoria, and Dogs West. It unites the impressive network that makes up the Dogs Australia community, which has an estimated 60,000 members.
Dogs Australia is a not-for-profit advocate for dogs’ wellbeing, dedicated to the preservation of original breeds by upholding healthy and ethical breeding standards. It was first established in 1958 as the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC). It maintains the pedigree register, a heritable diseases database, funds research into canine diseases.
