POT ROAST

Russell Plaschka grew up on a small diver sified farm in eastern Kansas and attended Kansas State University, receiving a B.S. in Agriculture Education. He spent 25 years teaching agriculture and advising FFA mem bers. In his current role with the Kansas De partment of Agriculture as the Agribusiness Development Director, he leads a team to promote agricultural growth and help con nect business and industry with local secondary and post secondary institutions to create true partnerships. He is pursuing a doctorate in Leadership Communications at KSU with research focused on how and why communities determine their interest in growing specific agricultural sectors.

We want to showcase the talented chefs that read our magazine. In this issue we are featuring Arturo and Wrenn Pacheco who run cattle in the Flint Hills of Kansas while also maintaining a fun and unique cooking blog which can be found at cookingwiththecowboy.com.
