CULTURAL AFFAIRS 2024| 25 SEASON BROCHURE

Discover The Arts

The arts are a thriving and essential part of our community. The city of Las Vegas Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs presents international, national and local artists and engages our local arts organizations and artists to deliver quality arts experiences that create a more livable and vibrant city for residents and visitors. Check out our performances, galleries, public art and classes to discover the artist in you!

Thank you for picking up a copy of our 2024-2025 season brochure focused on the diverse and inclusive arts and cultural performances and events offered by the city of Las Vegas! From art exhibitions, concerts and festivals to theater, opera and dance, we have a rich tapestry of options for every arts and cultural lover.

The city of Las Vegas offers arts and cultural programming at Charleston Heights Arts Center, Historic Fifth Street School, West Las Vegas Arts Center, Centennial Hills Amphitheater, Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza, various city parks and soon we will have a new venue across the street from City Hall at a new civic plaza.

We recently participated in the Americans for the Arts economic prosperity study that quantified how important the arts are to the Las Vegas economy. In Southern Nevada, the nonprofit arts and culture sector generated $509.5 million in revenue in 2022, $326.8 million in personal income and supported 7,021 jobs. Not only do the arts build community, they also build strong local economies.

Please take a few minutes to look through this publication and find the activities that are right for you and your family. To highlight two of our most popular events; we will be hosting our 23rd Las Vegas Book Festival on Oct. 19 featuring director and author John Waters and author of the “Crave” series Tracy Wolff as headliners. Our 5th Annual Tamales and Mariachi Festival on Dec. 7 will feature Mariachi Los Camperos and Mariachi Divas. All of our festivals are free and open to the public.
