Withthisunderstanding,OrangewoodChristianSchoolexiststopartnerwithfamiliesbyequipping studentswithaChristFirsteducation,whichwepraywillprofoundlyshapetheirloveforJesusalongwiththeirdailywalk inleadingandservingothers

Thispastyearwasfilledwithspecialmomentswhereourschoolcommunity’sChristianfaithwaswalkedoutforHisglory. Collectively,wewelcomedmanyfirst-yearfamilies,advancednewprogramsandtechnologiestopropelthestudentlearning experience,ledanotherfantasticyearinourartsprograms,andourathleticsteamscontinuedtoreachfirst-timemilestones acrossmanysports.TosharesomeofthehappeningsinthelifeofourschoolandtoreflectontheLord’sfaithfulnesstous, theteamandIarepleasedtosharewithyouthe23-24AnnualReport.Onthefollowingpages,youwillfindschool highlightsspanningacademics,studentlife,finearts,athletics,andabrieffinancialsummary.

Transformational Highlights

Orangewood has the optimal mix of advanced education, love, spiritual growth and emotional care for their students. They have truly given our kids the abilities and opportunities to grow and develop as leaders in the classroom, sports, neighborhood and Church.

ThisyearweheldthefirstSpiritualEmphasisWeekatOrangewoodUpperSchool,anditwasatransformative experience,coincidingwithHolyWeekanddesignedtodeepenourstudents'faithandconnectiontoGod.Eachday beganandconcludedwithprayer,worship,andimpactfulmessagesthatsetthetoneforreflectionandgrowth.

Studentshadtheuniqueopportunitytoselectbreakoutsessionstailoredtotheirinterests,allowingthemtoengagewith spiritualtopicsandlearnfromdifferentfacultymembers.Thisformatencouragedpersonalexplorationandfostered meaningfuldiscussions.Oneofthehighlightsoftheweekwaswhenourentirecampus over500people loadedonto busestoserveinthecommunity.Thisdayofservicenotonlyreinforcedtheimportanceofcaringforothersbutalso strengthenedthebondsamongstudentsandfacultyastheyworkedsidebysidetomakeapositiveimpactforChrist Anothersignificantmomentwasspentwithoursmallgroups,whereweworkedthroughtheStationsoftheCross This powerfulexperienceallowedstudentstoreflectontheeventsleadinguptoEaster,deepeningtheirunderstandingof Christ’ssacrifice

Theweekculminatedinafinalworshipsessionwherestudents andfacultywereinvitedtoleavetheirprayers,worries,and doubtsatthefootoftheCross.Thissymbolicactofsurrender broughtaprofoundsenseofpeaceandrenewaltoeveryone involved.Overall,SpiritualEmphasisWeekprovidedour studentswithanimmersiveexperienceinGod’swordand worship,makingitabeautifulwaytoprepareforEaster weekend Welookforwardtobuildingonthisfoundationin futureyears,continuingtonurtureourcommunity’sspiritual growth

ChapelatOrangewoodisvitaltoourcommunity,fosteringspiritualgrowthandconnectionamongstudents,faculty,andfamilies This year,UpperSchoolchapelexperiencesfeaturedablendofstudent-ledprayerandworship,withengagingmessagesdeliveredbyour dedicatedfacultyandlocalpastors Weheld12All-Schoolchapelsand9division-specificchapelsformiddleandhighschoolstudents One ofthemostsignificantchangesthisyearwasourpartnershipwithOrangewoodChurch,whichgenerouslyallowedustomaintainthe worshipsetupusedonSundays,creatingamoreinvitingandimmersiveenvironment,andsignificantlyenhancingtheworshipexperience forourstudents

UpperSchoolsmallgroupsalsoplayacrucialroleinfosteringcommunityandspiritualgrowthamongourstudents.Tailoredbydivision, ourapproachensuresthateachgroupisage-appropriateandconducivetobuildingmeaningfulrelationships.Thesegroupsprovideasafe spaceforstudentstoconnect,discusschapelmessages,andsharetheirthoughts,feelings,andfaith.

ThiswasBuddy’sfirstyearatschool! Fine Arts

Our arts program is huge around here…and who would have thought that our kids would become budding actors…because of the opportunities at Orangewood.

Lower School students are introduced to the recorder in 3rd grade, continue with the ukulele in 4th grade, and keyboard in 5th grade.

Our Band program begins in 6th grade and continues through 12th grade.

Our Instrumental Program ranges from brass, strings, and woodwinds, to keyboards, drums, and electric guitars.

Threespectacular showswere producedthisyearbeginningwith TheSound ofMusicin November,FindingNemo,Jr in February,andPeterandthe StarcatcherinApril Morethan 130studentstotalparticipatedin theseproductions,withan amazingcrewofvolunteers makingitallhappen

The High School Choir traveled to Austria in December where they presented several concerts including a Friendship Concert with students at th Vienna Bilingual School. One of the highlights was performing for a full crowd at the Melk Abbey in Austria. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

The teacher-student relationships that are developed at Orangewood is where the Gospel really thrives. If you want to have your child cared for, known, and well supported, this is the place for them.

Generationsisaforward-lookinginitiativeforconstructingnewfacilitiesandrenovatingmanyexistingspacesonourupper campus,whichwillbenefitourentireschool. AsOrangewoodChristianSchoolhasgrownfromadozenstudentsandafew teachersin1980,to1,050studentsand155facultyandstafftoday, theneedstoaddressfacilitiesandspacehasalsogrown.

Ourplanistobuildaperformingartsauditorium(on-stageproductions,studentchapels,familygatherings),create11new highschoolclassrooms,expandourathleticscomplesxwiththeadditionofastudenttrainingfacilityandturfedmulti-sport field,constructaperformingartssuitewithablackboxtheater,createacentralizedandmoresecureschoolentrance,and offernewstudentspaces
