Orangewood has the optimal mix of advanced education, love, spiritual growth and emotional care for their students. They have truly given our kids the abilities and opportunities to grow and develop as leaders in the classroom, sports, neighborhood and Church.

ThisyearweheldthefirstSpiritualEmphasisWeekatOrangewoodUpperSchool,anditwasatransformative experience,coincidingwithHolyWeekanddesignedtodeepenourstudents'faithandconnectiontoGod.Eachday beganandconcludedwithprayer,worship,andimpactfulmessagesthatsetthetoneforreflectionandgrowth.
Studentshadtheuniqueopportunitytoselectbreakoutsessionstailoredtotheirinterests,allowingthemtoengagewith spiritualtopicsandlearnfromdifferentfacultymembers.Thisformatencouragedpersonalexplorationandfostered meaningfuldiscussions.Oneofthehighlightsoftheweekwaswhenourentirecampus over500people loadedonto busestoserveinthecommunity.Thisdayofservicenotonlyreinforcedtheimportanceofcaringforothersbutalso strengthenedthebondsamongstudentsandfacultyastheyworkedsidebysidetomakeapositiveimpactforChrist Anothersignificantmomentwasspentwithoursmallgroups,whereweworkedthroughtheStationsoftheCross This powerfulexperienceallowedstudentstoreflectontheeventsleadinguptoEaster,deepeningtheirunderstandingof Christ’ssacrifice
Theweekculminatedinafinalworshipsessionwherestudents andfacultywereinvitedtoleavetheirprayers,worries,and doubtsatthefootoftheCross.Thissymbolicactofsurrender broughtaprofoundsenseofpeaceandrenewaltoeveryone involved.Overall,SpiritualEmphasisWeekprovidedour studentswithanimmersiveexperienceinGod’swordand worship,makingitabeautifulwaytoprepareforEaster weekend Welookforwardtobuildingonthisfoundationin futureyears,continuingtonurtureourcommunity’sspiritual growth

UpperSchoolsmallgroupsalsoplayacrucialroleinfosteringcommunityandspiritualgrowthamongourstudents.Tailoredbydivision, ourapproachensuresthateachgroupisage-appropriateandconducivetobuildingmeaningfulrelationships.Thesegroupsprovideasafe spaceforstudentstoconnect,discusschapelmessages,andsharetheirthoughts,feelings,andfaith.

Our arts program is huge around here…and who would have thought that our kids would become budding actors…because of the opportunities at Orangewood.

Lower School students are introduced to the recorder in 3rd grade, continue with the ukulele in 4th grade, and keyboard in 5th grade.
Our Band program begins in 6th grade and continues through 12th grade.

The High School Choir traveled to Austria in December where they presented several concerts including a Friendship Concert with students at th Vienna Bilingual School. One of the highlights was performing for a full crowd at the Melk Abbey in Austria. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
